Danco9D00039646 Tub and Shower Trim Kit for Central Brass, Chrome/Metal

I had tried to save some money by buying the parts for my central brass fixture at local hardware stores and plumbing supplies. I was able to find everything except for the center valve stem. The currently offered valve stem through the plumbing supply didn't match and cost $38. I bought this set and it was an exact match easy replacement. Save yourself some time and money and get this set.

Worked Great - better than the originals, easy to turn. It did take a lot of work to get out the old seats in the old valve, but I was able to with a mix of muscle and WD-40. I would not suggest this project unless you have a basic understanding of plumbing as Central Brass valves are difficult to work on.

I have Central Brass 3-faucet fixtures in my 1984 home. Though this is listed as a replacement for Central Brass 3 faucet fixture, the stems were a different size and thread. So they would not screw into the seats for the tub. I wound up going to a local plumbing supply store (had the same issue with a "Central Brass" kit from a big box retailer), and they had the stems (yes, Central Brass) that matched what I pulled out of my tub.

All parts in one package as well as the tool needed.
