Easy connection effort and instantly ready for use.
The OREI UHDS-104 1-4 HDMI splitter works just as advertised. Once the product arrived, I watched the short video on how the splitter operates then set it up quickly on my own and all was well, great picture to both outputs I happen to be using at the time. Great product and super easy to use. Would definitely recommend. Enjoy!

Good value, durable, I am happy with these splitters.
OREI is my new favorite for splitters. Consistently works , so far so good. I used J-tech for years and found that they failed a lot. Either lost an input or just stopped working all together. Have not had any problems with the OREI, I have 3 of them now and they get used a lot. Some permanent installs and some plug and unplug all the time.

Lights too bright but works well
3rd output on PC to input on the OREI. 1 output on the OREI goes to my 3rd monitor and the other output goes to my projector. Duplicated main display to 3rd monitor and projector. Works well. The downside of the OREI for me is the very bright blue lights which partially light up my bedroom. I had to put a little table in front of it at night so that I can sleep. The lights should be amber or green. That said, nice product.

Does bypass HDCP in STD mode on my PS3 to an HDMI to USB capture card.
Does bypass HDCP on my PS3 to an HDMI to USB capture card in TV mode. Tried a couple all same result. Works for a few seconds, then black screen. Must use STD mode on the switch to get it to bypass. Otherwise, it does split the signal without deteriorating it. Displays on standard monitor.UPDATE: made sure review spelling was right.

Save yourself a lot of headaches and look elsewhere, as these things are absolute crap!
I so wanted them to work. I spent an hour with the first one, trying different cables, different settings, every combination of ports and settings to get a 4kx60hz signal from my PC to my monitor and TV but could get only get 2k to my monitor and no signal at all to my TV, even though I'd been able to with the Orie 2k splitter I was hoping to replace. After a couple of days and several email exchanges with Orei tech support I concluded it was defective, so requested an exchange, and also purchased new 8kx60hz 48Gbps cables. When I received the new one I initially could not get anything beyond 2k, but finally after an hour of swapping cables, outputs and settings I finally got a signal to both. I was so happy. Thinking that perhaps the original one was okay but just needed the magical combination of cables and settings I replaced the new one with it and could not get any signal to either device. When I swapped the new one back in I had the same result. I played with the configuration for a few minutes before giving up. Not certain, but I'd have to guess that somehow the order of connecting power and inputs/outputs damaged them. If so, another reason to avoid them. I'd replaced two of their 2k switches due to premature death (presumably power, though they go through a UPS/surge protector) so I know they are cheaply built. But at least when those work they work consistently.

Things I had not considered make this not quite the perfect solution
I've got a couple of TVs and one device that produces video content scenario. Basically I could buy/rent another tuner device, but all I really wanted was the ability to get video from downstairs to the upstairs, and I have a little device that does that. I'd been swapping HDMI cables between the wireless and the downstairs TV and decided I was pretty much done with cable swapping, why not get something that was one in and two out and yeah... that's where this comes in.So one in and two out this works fine. What I hadn't considered was that things such as ARC and CEC not transmitting across either HDMI port would do things like disable the TV remote control's ability to control the content device... now I have to use two remotes. This HDMI splitter box does not appear to be able to pass CEC... at least when it's plugged in the TV remote doesn't seem, to work and it picks right back up if I plug in the cable directly.Could be my setup, but I suspect CEC is not something most consider when looking at a splitter...The unit can also be powered by a 5 volt input... really wish they'd included a USB cable here as I've got plenty of USB ports on this TV, the XBOX, content thing, etc... power outlets are difficult to come by. Oh well.Remarkably workable, average, can't find anything other than CEC that it doesn't do that I want it to.
