I bought my first set of these when my daughter was a baby. Got the smallest size (3-6 months I think?). Was a little big but worked great for her and the velcro helped keep it on when she would try to pull it off! Gloves aren't super warm but better than nothing. Daughter is now 2.5 years old and original hat is getting pretty snug so thought I would get her a new one. Ordered the 2-3 year old size and its huge on her (it actually about fits my adult size head!). I can mostly snug it down and I guess she can grow into it but I didn't really want to have to buy a third one for in between. Oh well. Still like these sets, just might want to order down a size if you aren't sure.

I don't usually write reviews, but I was so disappointed in this item that I had to write one. I would give the hat/mittens zero stars if I could. I just received the items and was preparing to wash them before use. I noticed that the fuzzy/fleece material inside the gloves looked a bit thick, so I put my hand in and a big piece came out. I lightly pulled at the remaining fleece and those pieces came out easily too. Same for the hat, many little clumps of fuzz came out easily. This is not safe for a young child who might put the loose pieces in their mouth. It's too bad because the hat really looked nice.

The best hat for your toddler is the hat that they'll keep on. Same goes for mittens. Our 18-month-old actually tolerates this hat and these mittens. I am not crazy about the plastic-y smell it retains even after washing, but hopefully that will fade. For now, I'm just glad she doesn't rip these off. They are fluffy soft inside, and so far we haven't had any problems with the velcro irritating her chin.

This hat and mittens set is great for my 9 month old. It fits exactly as expected and the mittens are really simple to put on. I love the velcro on the hat as she can't undo it when the weather is cold and it needs to stay on.

Too cute! Very warm and good sized. My daughter is 18 months and these fit great :) A little room to grow even. I got 2-3 years. Covers ears and neck extremely well.

I bought two of these sets, one in the largest size and the other in the 18 mo size. They fit my 18 mo old & 4 yr old nicely!I like these hats, the second layer of fleece (the contrast lining) should make them warmer than the fleece hats I've been seeing for sale elsewhere. Helps me to justify the slightly higher cost.I knocked off a star for two reasons:• the fucsia color was not as intense as pictured, so didn't match my girl's coat. Though, the turquoise was exactly as pictured.• I wish the mittens had a grippy palm to make wearing them on the playground more practical. Luckily, I had some grippy fabric left from a footed PJ repair, so I added my own.I do wish there was a matching scarf available in the bigger kids' sizes, too!Overall, a nice set. I would order again...

I got these for my neighbor's 16 month old little girl. I wanted a hat with a chin strap because I knew she would pull off a regular beanie. I was right; the first time she wore this hat, she tried and failed to pull it off. It looks ADORABLE on her and keeps her little head warm. I also correctly predicted that she would pull these little gloves right off, and I was right. She WAS successful at doing just that, but Mama quickly spotted the glove and retrieved it. We are going to get some mitten clips to forestall losing one of these gloves!

I bought these for my little one to play outside at daycare. They are very soft and warm. She was right in between sizes so I sized up hoping she would be able to wear them for a couple winters, the hat fits perfect and the mittens are a little big which means she can wear them for a while yet. I liked that the hat velcroed on the bottom but she figured out how to work that right away, luckily she loves to wear the hat so she leaves it on.

Very happy with this hat and gloves. They're warm and cosy and get gloves actually are the smallest I've found that stay on.

Soft, cozy but rather light.The hat would be fine with a hood over it on really cold days.The mitts for late autumn or early Spring but also soft and cozy.
