Delicious !!

Upon opening the bag, the same smell as a gallon of paint hits your nose. But you really like malt vinegar, and some smell won't stop you, right? If only it had... You remember summers growing up where that one uncle over cooked the burgers. Or maybe you had wood paneling in your house that had to be oiled every once in a while. Never would I have ever thought the taste of the burnt burger and the smell of the wood oil could be combined in any way, but that is what these chips taste like. It is unreal how bad these chips taste. There is zero taste of malt vinegar, let alone any kind of vinegar. There is hardly even any taste of potato, let alone potato chips. Malt vinegar chips are hard to find and/or expensive. I couldn't wait to try these chips. Once I tried them, I couldn't wait to throw them out. The expiration date was still a couple months out. But my overwhelming disappointment was instant. Do NOT buy.

I've eaten these since the 90s when I first found them in a NYC health food store. The malt flavor was off the charts. This was back before the 'flavor revolution'. They were trailblazer (along with the classic Jay's Hot Stuff). Now? Eh. Barely has any flavor. Tried many different bags of different sizes from different parts of the country (including in Colorado), and at least they are consistent. An ok chip, nothing special. Alas!
