Raw Sheep Wool - 20oz.

Very happy with this wool. It had very little vm and was ready to be washed. It dyed up nicely and I can't wait to card it and spin it.

I tried to return it but they are asking a lot of money for shipping. Product not good it smells funny

good stuph !! exactly as advertised . works excellent with muzzle loader shotguns and 50cal. ball shooters i have .

Edited: I received a second bag in the mail yesterday. The fleece was definitely fresher than the last bag and washed up much better with a lot less breakage on the tips. The vm that had plagued the first bag was absent from this bag. The fleece is outside drying right now and I plan to card it some time during the week, then spin into yarn.I'm not going to claim I'm on an expert on fleece, but I have gotten a few ones still "in the grease" and skirted. This package had dry wool that had the yellowed tips just falling off in my hands. There was poo on some on the clumpy locks and a lot of vm. I did attempt to wash it in Kookaburra Scour. Several rinses later there was a slight improvement on some pieces. I laid it out to dry before carding, which I had to do outside because the vm was just falling out, but it didn't shake out. Learning experience. Not out a ton of money for this mess, but I'd like to save anyone else the time and effort of what I went through.

I was so excited when I got it . I washed it soap and water for hours ! And justbuse you dryer on low and high tumble for 1 hour and I was done ! Lots of poop though and had a urine smell but I got it out and made a white yellowish clean wool stuffing for a pillow I made out of my old shirt

This is a nice bag of wool. MY ignorance is NOT the seller's fault, but other brand new buyers, understand that raw really does mean like...FRESH. Like just off the sheep/ground, and nothing done to it. It is in need of some serious cleaning before you can use it. Again, this is NOT a reflection on the seller, but something to be aware of. :)
