Set of 2 Rear Window Glass Lift Support Struts Gas Shock Springs for Chevrolet Astro GMC Safari 1992-2000

I am sorry I went for years without changing these lift gate struts...they were easy to install and now I don't need to put a broom stick in to hold up my lift gate! They were a perfect fit, and they work great!

Easy install ! Perfect fit for my 99 Astro van ! Take old ones off one by one while holding up the other , unscrew the capped end and put on new one and then do the same to other side ! Easy and these work great

After years of propping up the back window of a work van I finally bought the window support struts. How sweet it is! No more bumping our heads! And to even make it better they work as a soft close. So glad I finally bought them.

These ended up working great once you figure out how to install them. Push the little black metal clip out of the way towards the end of the rod, then pop the clipped side out. Then unscrew the screw side. Reverse the process for the new rods.The pressure/tension on these is very high, higher than you'd expect just to hold the rear hatch up. At first I thought there was something wrong and they wouldn't compressor, but if you press hard enough, they compress perfectly and lift the hatch just the right amount without being too hard to close. They are actually a little better than the stock ones IMHO because they lift the hatch about 1-2" higher than stock. In fact I had to remove both sides of the old rods to start installation since the original OEM one didn't have enough extension to allow me to put one of the new ones on without trying to compress it (which is damn near impossible).Overall, amazing value for money. Would be nice to have some instructions, but it's not rocket science.
