Sky Plus HD Box with 2 TB Hard Drive (Renewed)

This refurbished box from Chigwell Satellite was fitted with a new 2TB hard drive. Looked like new with only a few minor marks only visible very close up. The remote control was brand new as was the HDMI lead supplied. Followed the installation instructions to pair new remote to box and TV and this was very simple to do. Next followed the viewing card pairing instuctions and retrieved all required card and box info from the menu. Didn't need to phone sky as I entered all of the details of new box and card details into my online sky account. Pairing was immediate and all working correctly. Very pleased with the box , delivery times and the printed instructions for setup. Will definately use this company again when one of my other two boxes which were the same age as the one replaced ( around ten years old ) give up the ghost.

Excellent replacement for our previous box that had started to “misbehave”. I had thought we were just having problems with a lost signal and we kept having to reset box, but read online that it our problems could be caused by a faulty box.This box came with full instructions to set it up and a HDMI lead and remote.The instructions were clear and very easy to follow. The box was set up within 5 minutes and connected easily to our Wi-fi. There is no “aerial” input/output, so you will need to attach any external aerials directly to your TV.Picture and sound excellent.Very pleased and the extra storage space is also really useful.

The box has an issue as during recording it always has a temporary loss of signal.

Model I bought was DRX 895W 2T Model Wifi CompatableCondition decent it's obviously not new but has minimum scratches etc purely cosmeticDelivery not next day but decent enough my order took 3 days but it's nearly ChristmasWorking order so far excellent which is the reason I bought it2 RF connections 1 Ethernet 1 HDMI and a vgaWireless connection flawless with WEP button for easy pairingSide note if you want your card to fully work Sky will make you call them to pair the box Sky issue not Chigwell SatellitesOverall experience so far very good would easily recommendVery good reconditioned Sky Box which is HD compatible

Great option without extortionate sky costs. No faffing about changing and reformatting disks just replace the whole thing. Plugged in and played. Product was in very good condition with new controller cables and HDMI cable.It would be interested to see if there is an exchange price as I now have another system albeit with non functional disk.

The box is Good, it is as described and works well, it was quite easy to install.

This Sky+HD box was a very disappointing purchase. Apart from accessing basic channels, there was nothing else that worked - no recording, no rewind, no online services despite the promise of all of this and our Sky system being set up to access it all.Plutodirect have been very poor at responding to refund requests. They agreed the return, received the box but then didn’t respond to any other contact. Cost of the item and p&p was finally refunded via Amazon.

The box is great only complaint is it came with no instructions which would helped with setup (pointing out that you need to register the box for it to receive programming etc). But I figured it out with the help of various Internet forums. Remote is ok just feels very lightweight compared to the old one, works fine.
