- Flip Covered Litter Box, Front Entry, White

So i usually hate cleaning out the litter box which is why I had purchased an automatic litter box. But unfortunately my cat never really liked using it and was peeing on my clothes. I decided to look for another regular litter box and randomly I saw someone showing this litter box on TikTok. I love how the lid opens up easily! And the liner is so good! My issue I always had with regular litter boxes is that the clumps would get stuck to the bottom of the container and I broke plastic scoopers trying to scoop. With this litter box it’s so easy to scoop, it’s easily accessible to scoop regularly, has a liner, filter, scooper, and looks so nice! Love it! So easy to clean daily and especially that I paired it with a genie. I was worried that my cat would not be into it since she’s so picky but she jumped into the litter box right after I set it up without any coaxing. She no longer pees on my clothes and I can tell she loves her new litter box. The only thing is the price is expensive but worth it. The only other thing is the scooper handle has lip edges which catches some of the litter when I try to scoop and gets on the floor, but other than that I love it and so does my cat!

I love this box so much I bought another one along with the litter mats that are designed to go with it from Modko. I was a little reluctant at first to purchase one of these boxes due to the price. Two of my three cats are high pee-ers. The one does this in the front left corner. I was concerned he would end up going out the entrance hole because there wasn't much corner to work with. Tired of cleaning up urine that made it's way out of the box I took the plunge after reading other glowing reviews. I am really happy I did. I have had no issues at all with urine outside the box. My cats all seem to like it (I have one cat that is afraid of her own shadow and actually had to get rid of a new box because she was afraid of it and wouldn't go in it!). The liners are amazing and I think are what make this box worth the $$. They will greatly increase the longevity of the box by preventing scratches and build-up on the walls of the box. I haven't had any issues with the integrity of the liners - it looks like they re-designed them from previously being made of paper. I bought a couple extra to have on hand. I love the idea of being able to just take them out when I want to get rid of all the old litter and start fresh. The box is designed well and easy to clean - I love the magnet top with space between the box and the lid for maximum ventilation. As I mentioned, I loved it so much I went and bought another, this time I got the litter mats that are designed to fit with the boxes. I lose those as well, but bought them from the Modko website so I am not able to review them separately. I highly recommend them also, though. They fit nicely and are really easy to clean up! The overall look of this box is great. It has less of a, "I have cats and this is where they go to the bathroom" feel, and more of a clean presentation. Highly recommended product that is absolutely worth the price, especially if you have issues with a cat that pee's high and gets urine outside the box via the closure halfway down the box.

We recently adopted a new cat. I discovered that about 1 of every 5 trips to the litter box, she decided a high pee was necessary. So on that trip she would pee over the side of the corner litter box. Fortunately at this point she is still sequestered in a space while she gets integrated into the household - her litter box is in a shower stall so thank goodness the pee was limited to that area. I also think she thought the shower wall was actually part of the litter box, so why not pee all over it? When I realized the situation with the new cat, I knew I immediately needed to order a Modkat for her. Well, as soon as I filled it with litter, she hopped right in, scratched, squatted, and...paused. Then she lifted her back end as high as she could and proceeded to douse the entire back wall! I have included some photos, and threw a little litter dust up there so you can see her high pee. She is a delightful cat and we love her, this appears to be her only shortcoming. Thankful to Modkat for solving this problem. I think the liner would get a bit saturated after a while, so I’m not using it. I do wish they would put a few scoop hanging slots closer to the back so the scoop was more hidden from view. I had purchased a Modkat a few years ago, because of the clean looks and the flexible privacy options. My other cat uses it without any issues, and he doesn’t have any problems overshooting. He does have litterbox shyness, and he likes the Modkat, using it almost exclusively (we have three boxes he can access, we had another cat recently died). Btw, I don’t use the liners. I find it just as easy to hose the box out. And in between washing the box I can wipe the plastic sides off with a disinfectant wipe so it won’t smell as bad. My other cat is sometimes not so neat when he poops and get poop on the sides, so another good reason I prefer the smooth plastic sides, easy to clean up a mess. If anyone needs help on size of cat for height and peeing range, she is about 10-11” tall at the base of her tail. You can see how high she peed in the box from the photos. She didn’t spray up at all when she did it. If your cat angles up or can somehow gets a higher dispersal, they may possibly hit the top edge of the box. If that’s the case, you have my sympathy.

Circumstances of life and a funny twist of fate had us temporarily moving next door to our former 40/yr family homestead on a half acre. The new digs are a fraction of that. Our animals- all going into senior years- are used to roaming and coming and going at will. The dogs adjusted ok.... the two cats however, showed up for food and promptly went back to their old stomping grounds. As fall came on we decided to try and transition at least one, but hopefully both cats indoors and that meant setting up kitty utopia and crossing our fingers. We've had any and every litter box over the years and the cats either couldn't be bothered or made a total mess because they preferred doing their business outside. I went on a mission to find a litter box to cure all our problems (har har). I like to do my research and then stew a bit before I decide. While the fancy litter boxes that sift and sort and clean themselves seem great for owners- cats don't seem to like them so much. Maybe if they are trained as kittens but finicky adult cats? I wanted simple and clean and easy. After reading a gazillion reviews I decided on the ModKat. I have to admit... I goggled over the price for starters. Really??? I thought. For a box with a liner and a lid??? Ok. Times have changed. But I decided to try it because of the reviews and its clean lines and primarily, the lid gave me options. And if I hated it, and more importantly if the cats hated it, it could go back. Overall I was impressed with the fit and finish of the materials its made from. Its not flimsy or cheap thin shiny plastic in funky colors. Its solid, sturdy and has a matte finish. The scoop is a nice surprise. As good as the box and more solid than I've ever had. Fits nicely on the side at the ready no muss no fuss. The clips that hold in the liner in are snug and nicely designed. The lid is held in place with subtle but nicely inset magnets. I decided to start with the lid half open and see how it went. I decided to try it with the liner wondering what the cats would think or if they'd even care. I was thinking of the cleaning aspect and I wasn't sure if my male siamese would make a huge mess or not as he's pretty much 99.9% an outdoor guy. It was more about the finicky princess with long hair who has a history of clogging in her bloomers from time to time. I also decided to try the Worlds Best Cat Litter with it. It isn't something I can find on our local shelves but tracking and smell were factors and the reviews stood out. Turns out, Mr Outdoors is.... still outdoors. But Princess Puss approves of the set up. She walks in and pees right inside the entrance. Steps to the back and leaves her deposit. And doesn't cover it. I scoop once a day. Even with the lid half open and her poo sitting on top of the litter, we don't notice a smell. The pee comes out in a clump resembling a biscuit. Best! of all 99% of the litter stays in the box! Very little if any tracking. This was a win-win. Like the simplicity of the box. Like how it's made. Like the easy access for full litter change. Like how she steps in and and out instead of having to hop. Love the litter too. It really is the best I've used for tracking, odor, scoopability and its lifespan. Money well spent for a system that works clean, simple and no hassle. Cat and cat mom approved!

I have had this box since September (5 months) and purchased this with my own money (not sponsored). I think we all are attracted to the modern style of this box. It looks great and fits well with my home (I put it in the laundry room) without having to be an eyesore. I like the scoop holder on the side, as well as the adjustable top. The fact that the box is tall is nice for cats that kick back litter, and leaving the back top closed and front top open allows for a "open top" litter box that reduces tracking. However, there are some flaws that I hope either bring the price down or get solved: 1. The lid does not sit on exactly right. There are magnets that hold the second half of the lid in place, while the back part (with the holes to vent) is clipped in. The clips are well pretty sturdy, however pop on and off easily, which isn't that big of a deal due to the adjustability. However, the magnets at the front end up sliding and the lid never sits flush with the box. 2. The metal rusts. The metal on the liner rusts, as well as the metal from the magnets. This ends up degrading the quality of the box faster than it should for a $80 litter box. I hope to keep these box for at least 2.5 years, since most of my cheaper $20 litter boxes end up lasting a year before they get gross. There could definitely be some adjustments made to make the box last, because I guarantee no one wants to purchase an $80 poop collector every year. 3. The add-ons. The liner it comes with has lasted me fine these 5 months, and makes changing out litter great. I think I could get away with using it for longer, before needing to buy more. I am wary of using the box without the liner, since my cat tends to pee in the same area, which ends up "cementing" in very hard clumps. One thing, however, is the hooks used for the liner make it difficult to take out, and as I mentioned rust. The mat that you have to pay extra for does a great job at holding the litter as it's dropped (the silicone allows for litter to "stick", but isn't necessary if you already have one you like. I would recommend it for pellet type litter however, as smaller granules (like sWheat or World's Best) will still find its way out. I ended up splurging, yes splurging on a poop container, mostly because I have been eyeing this for a year. I would say that it is worth it and I am happy with it, however some issues could be resolved for the price point.

I had read the review for this litter box and hoped it lived up to my expectations. It did and more!! I have - as many other apparently do also - a high peeing cat. I have been struggling for over a year with a standard litter box having to wipe it daily. When I found this I was amazed such a thing existed!! It is wonderful!! And the liner. . . I was sceptical but read one person's positive review about it so thought I'd give it a try. It also is wonderful. The litter no longer sticks to the sides or bottom. It scoops easier, better and with much less odor. This is a winner. The price is high but it's SOO worth it.

I absolutely love this litter box. No more mess all over the floor. Clean up is so much easier you can just shake the scoop and bits. Don’t fall all over the place. The cat immediately used it with no problem, even though they went from open to enclosed litter box. Hides nicely now you don’t have to stare at big clumps of yuck. I highly recommend this product.

I never thought I'd write a review about a cat litter box, but this one is great. I have two cats, both very picky about their box. It needs to be roomy, but not too big. It needs to be covered, because they like their privacy. And it needs to be cleaned (by me) twice a day because they are both very active in there. In the past eight years, I have tried dozens of litter boxes, hoping to find the one that makes them both happy. This is it! It makes the three of us very happy. For me, it was easy to assemble, and I loved the removable liner, great for easy clean up. And the folding lid provides easy access for the twice-daily scooping. +Both cats (Jack and Jill) took to it immediately. Entry is just the right size. Interior is the right size. And the built-in charcoal deodorizer doesn't offend them. And the overall look of the litter box is sleek. I have it in powder room off the laundry area, and it doesn't look clunky or messy like so may other boxes do. So, Jack and Jill love their new litter box, and so do I! Great product!

My cats like to kick their litter up into the air, but they refuse to use an enclosed litter box. So for the last couple of years I had been putting their small litter tray inside a large cardboard box to stop the scatter. It was finally time to upgrade when the cardboard box was scratched up and tattered... The high walls and the flip-top lid make it very cat friendly. Instead of putting the litter directly into the tarp lining (I wasn't sure how they would react to the feeling of the tarp under their paws), I decided to place their old litter tray inside. The familiarity of their old litter tray made it very easy for them to transition into the new litter box without any issues. I could probably remove the small litter tray in time, but for now its pretty easy to lift it out to clean, and then just shake the crumbs of litter out of the tarp lining. All in all, I love this litter tray so much. Worth every penny. My cats love it too.

We love this litter box so much! We’ve got 2 and they’re definitely worth it. Love the different lid options, the tall walls, and the modern design. I do wish the replaceable liners were a bit cheaper, but what can ya do.

About 7 years ago or so, my ginger started to wee as if he is marking. It took me some time to find out the reason of leakage. The litter box was under a shelve, so I hanged a plastic table mat that would work as a wall, which prevented further leakage. But dismounting all the bits and washing them was real time consuming. We once tried a covered box but wee would leak from the attached part, so the box and the wall were back again next day. But my searching was never over. One day I saw modkat on a pet goods supplier site. I found the idea and design extraordinary fabulous, but the size was not right for my ginger, as he would not be able to wee in his style. I just could not give up the idea of not having a modkat so went to check their website, where I found the Flip Litter Box. Just the right size and the right idea!!!! Yes, it is a pricey item, you could probably buy 10 boxes with what you pay for just one. But I realised that it will make a huge difference in that corner of my flat. I could finally say good bye to all the kit (wall made out of table mat, a shelve to hang the wall and the and the litter box) and replace them with a smart white box. And I was absolutely right! The height of the box is fine for my cat to wee in his style and cleaning is so much easier and quicker. 2 liners were included with the box but I don't use them (have never anyway, I can't see the point of using it at all). I have been using "World's Best Cat Litter" (another recommended item) for ages and it goes fine with the box. So far, all going extremely well. I would highly recommend this box to any cats guardians with similar issue. You may find it pricey but I think it's worth it. Another customer reviewed not to be very satisfied with the quality of this item. Yes, it's bit flimsy but definitely well made and you could surely use the scoop to even the litter inside. No need to shake the whole box to do so, it's just my opinion.

This litter box is the best, period. The design is simple and ingenious. The liner makes it incredibly easy to keep it clean, especially with the clamping litter. Unlike other litter boxes we have tried, the liner makes it much easier to scoop used litter out: the litter does not adhere to the liner the way it adheres to the plastic. Together with the mat, it's a fantastic combo. It is very easy to unclip the liner and wipe the inside of the box with an alcohol wipe without removing it. We adopted our cat when she was already a middle-aged lady, with peculiar toilet habits, and this gem of a litter box makes her comfy and happy with a minimal effort on our part. Words cannot convey just how much I appreciate this product.
