BERNAT BLANKET BB, NORTH SEA

One of my favorite yarns to work with so far! I'm new to knitting and crochet and I made a queen sized blanket on a loom in just a couple weeks and the whole family loves it! So much so I already made a throw for the couch.If anyone would like to know the queen sized blanket took 16 big ball 10.5oz knitting on loom e-wrap whole thing. Colors used olive, pumpkin spice, vanilla, and light teal. Throw took 4 big ball 10.5oz sailors delight and 1 3.5oz light teal 2 squares are knitted other two are double crochet

Brand new to crochet, I bought my first 3 skeins at Michaels because this yarn was so squishy and soft without shedding fiber. When I saw the taupe color on sale at Amazon it was God’s way to tell me to make a blanket (pattern calls for 6 skeins). The sand color i bought with the taupe color is also yummy, a muted mustard gold color. I have since bought 7 more skeins to crochet a 2nd blanket. I am loving this yarn and the free patterns offered on Bernat’s web site.

I wanted to crochet a new baby blanket for my first grandson due December 13th... I actually picked out this exact yarn at the local crafts store and then ordered the other 2 here! It was a much better deal here than either of my local stores! This yarn is wonderfully amazing for making super thick, incredibly soft blankets! I have used this same brand/style of yarn in the past to make blankets and they are great! They are very durable and super soft! I love that my son can lay the blanket onto the floor for baby and know that nothing that could be on the floor will simply go thru the blanket and get near the baby's mouth or nose! I accidentally cut the blanket I had made for my husband years ago and never attempted to fix it at all... It has not pulled loose or come undone whatsoever around the cut! I cannot believe how good this yarn works to make extremely long lasting blankets! It also makes the blanket basically a "weighted" blanket as well! The thickness of the yarn makes the blankets weigh much more than regular yarn would! It is in no way an uncomfortable weight however! The weight, thickness and softness this yarn makes the blankets will definitely put anyone using it to sleep very quickly! It makes extremely cozy and comforting blankets! I have many plans to make many more blankets using this brand and style of yarn! Another great aspect is vast array of colors this yarn comes in! Solid colors and mixing colors... This is definitely my favorite blanket yarn for making people that I love blankets... It seems like you can actually feel the love that it was made with!

Are you like me? You start a project only to find out that you don't have enough yarn? No? Okay, I envy you. I bought 2 of these 3 years ago and they were about $6/ball. They're now double that but the quality is the same and the color matches perfectly to my old ones.I find that I get a nice snug gauge with a 10mm hook and there are not random knots in the skeins.Overall happy with the quality, just not the price.

Great for blankets. It washes really well and it’s so soft!! Don’t buy for more than $10 a skein though, it’s not worth THAT much! *Yarn pictured is same blanket yarn, just a different color way.

Best yarn for Blankets. easy to work with and I would suggest for beginners through expert knitters. I do not crochet so that I am not sure as to how this yarn would work, but is does move very easily over knitting needles. I have made over 25 blankets as gifts and this yarn holds up through , kids, spills and numerous washings. I would also suggest to not use fabric softener , to keep the softness of the yarn.

*excuse the animal glitter lol*I freaking love this yarn! I always hated most yarns because they felt scratchy, but this one is sherpa-level softness. I never had a color transfer problem, and I found using one size smaller in needle actually makes the stitching look tighter so the imperfections and knots can be hidden well.I found this at JoAnns originally, but when I ordered this I found out its twice the size of an original ball of yarn! Which isnt bad, I like having extras anyway.

Like this yarn. thick. easy to work. hadn't crocheted in years and decided to get back into it. got this yarn and made throw. it came out beautiful (of course). decided to make another. found yarn on amazon which is nice as they have better selection of colors than local store. FYI, I used N hook.Update 04/18. Still using this blanket yarn for other projects. Love it. Does well in washer and dryer. I like the multi color yarns the best. Easy and - for me - blankets if all sizes come out great.

Disappointing. Bought this to avoid multiple joins, only to discover each giant ball was multiple small balls tied together. Could have purchased same wool much cheaper in smaller balls had i known that was all this is anyway. Aside from that its lovely soft chunky wool, but the colour rubs off (i ordered black).

Haven’t used it yet it’s next on my list after yet another blanket, I know it’s going to be perfect for my next blanket as bernat is now my go to yarn for blankets scarfs etc I love it

A huge ball of soft, gorgeous wool. Great to work with, very good value for money.
