The product itself is well made with high quality parts, but the grip on a smooth metal kitchen tap using the rubber connector and clamp simply doesn't hold very long. Pressure builds up and it will pop off within 30 seconds. Admittedly I haven't tried using sealant tape yet as suggested by the seller in the description, and to be fair it was always going to be a long shot whether this was going to work in the first place. I've given a 5 star review because it was delivered quickly and the product is well made, but I would consider other options as a solution for connecting a hose pipe to a smooth kitchen tap. Are you sure there's no thread on your tap at all? Does it have an aerator that unscrews for example?If you really have no other option, try this connector but be sure to use it with sealant tape too, you won't stand a chance otherwise.

Finally I've found a hose connector that fits several of the awkwardly-shaped vintage taps in my house. This is an excellent piece of kit that seems well-built and very solid - difficult to find anything under a tenner you can say that about these days. It slides over a very short tap end and the fastener holds it good and tight - no aquatic explosions so far! I have the Gardena type hose heads and these clip on and off in a jiffy. I'll probably leave the adapter on the tap for the whole season as the tap functions perfectly well with it still attached and in fact the adapter is a nice nozzle in itself. Very satisfied, will buy again, would recommend to a friend, etc etc!

When I was a kid 50 years ago we had 'universal adapters' like this - and that worked juist as well. That is - they were rubbish and preoduced fountains of water. I needed a a way to connect my new portable automatic washing machine to the taps in my flat via the washing machine hose - I do not have a threaded tap anywhere. So I bought this as it provided a male 3/4" thread in its options - that bit works beautifully - the brasswork is wonderful. However the most important bit (for me) was the rubber cup that uses a jubilee clip to attempt to fix to the tap. I tried it on the basin taps - even with the insert it just wouldn't stay on the tap. So I tried the bath tap - and it appeared to work after a fashion (with very low water pressure) for three wash cycles - then it slid of the tap. I tried and tried to get it to stay on and ech time it would produce gushing fountains with the lowest of pressures then fall off. Eventually I got it to stay for a while - then I found it was directing water on to my bathroom floor which is a pool now. I finished of the washing using buckets of water - and I have justt heard the washer tell me it's ready so I'm off to make sure it is mopved and ddry - then I'll deal with the pond...

The brass part and hose fitting are excellent. A perfect fit and better than plastic ones. The problem with this is that the jubilee clip and rubber tap connecting part are not strong enough and water leaks through the top rubber bit, no matter how tight jubilee clip is. I ended up using self amalgamating silicone tape to stop the leak. I had the same issue with plastic ones and hoped this would be better. I'm now thinking of changing my tap to a threaded one.

Needed because my hose connector didn’t fit my taps. Perfect and fits like a glove! Does what it’s supposed to and is great value for money. 👍

If like me you currently have no outside tap, then you will require one of these to attach your hose to a tap easily.Simply push onto any sturdy tap, tighten it up, test for leaks, then attach your hose and off you go.The rubber seal has two parts, ensure when attaching to the tap. Not to bend the inside rubber seal. I found that pushing and twisting it on, prevents this from happening. A very well made product, with only one small detail in which I wish would be changed. The outer and inner rubber seals were glued together to prevent any damge to inner one when putting it on a tap.Definitely worth buying, if like me you still currently have no outside tap!

Seems well made apart from how this is meant to connect to a half inch tap. Half inch is a rubber insert that slides inside the main fixed rubber of the tap connector. The insert fits the tap quite snug but unfortunately the connector pops off of the insert within seconds of turning the tap on. Will try gluing the insert in place otherwise this is uselessUpdate 23.04.21Tried gluing the 1/2 inch rubber insert into the main connection rubber with silicone sealant and also tried araldite 2 part epoxy. Neither held the insert beyond a second of water pressure. This product is useless for 1/2 inch smoorh tap. If the 1/2 version was a solid 1 piece rubber instead of an insert that fits inside the main rubber then this would probably be very good

Guter Wasserdieb, durch den Gummieinsatz im inneren alls Adapter an vielen verschiedenen Wasserhahn bzw. Rohranschlüssen verwendbar. Schraubschelle in vernünftiger Qualität. Hat uns in verschiedenen Ländern schon oft geholfen. Gummi mit Trinkwasser geeigneten Pflegemittel behandelt, erhöht die Lebensdauer und erleichtert die Montage an den Entnahmestellen.

adaptador bueno, es un poco de todo en uno, tiene varias roscas por si el grifo a conectar va con rosca. me he decantado por este porque es de laton y es una garantia de durabilidad, además de ser inocuo con el agua, cosa que no pasa con los que venden de plastico que no tienen aprobación alimentaria, en cuanto a peros lo unico que no me ha acabado de convencer es la llave de metal abrazadera que tiene de cierre, la veo endeble, de todas formas esa llave cuesta 20 centimos, en general muy contento con la calidad del producto.
