Super Clamps
After having the rears of two sleds nearly come into contact with each other on a long trip, I found myself looking for a way to tie down the back of the sleds. I didn't want to put in a D ring and use ratchet straps, collapsing the suspension.These super clamps installed quickly and easily, following the instructions on the box. They came with the basic hardware needed to install them to the deck of the trailer. The clamps are quick and easy to use, and seem to be sufficient for holding the sled in place, of course in conjunction with ski tie down bars.One thing I didn't know before purchasing though, was that they want you to put a plate of aluminum behind the plywood decking and bolt through that for more strength. Because one of the trailer's frame rails were in the way of the placement of a plate, I just used some large washers and they seem to be sufficient. Very happy with the product and its quality.
