GOGOPet Products 3/4-Inch Wide Comfy Nylon Dog Leash, 6-Feet Long, Hunter Green

I first purchased one of these at a local doggy daycare. It seemed like just a well priced nylon leash (so can be chewed through, of course), but the colors are nice and have stayed vibrant so far, the handle is padded, the stitching is quality, there's a little ring at the top that you could easily connect bags, a key, etc. to, and the price is awesome! However, the biggest reason I purchased it is the clasp. It's called a scissor clasp, I think, and we find it a lot more secure than the standard clasps used on most leashes. We have two young Siberian Husky rescues, one of whom is skittish and still a flight risk despite recall training. A couple of times over the years, with different dogs and once with our husky who's better on the recall, the usual clasps have failed on other leashes and the thin ring of the training collar slipped right out when it was wet from the rain (plus the regular clasps can also fail easily if a little sand or grit gets in there). It's kept me nervous about it happening with our flighty girl. Our experience is that this clasp is easy to open, but doesn't open easily on its own. It's substantial and overlaps for a secure closure. The place we first bought these hasn't re-stocked in awhile, so I was thrilled to find them on Amazon, and ordered a couple extra in case they're ever discontinued. They arrived promptly and we're pleased that the quality is equal to the first one we'd purchased. When ordering, take a close look at the picture as they come in a variety of measurements, and not all have the padded handle or the scissor clasp. It depends on the gogo leash you choose.

Puppy chewed through this in a few weeks (well, it was in an hour in one sitting when not well attended, but the leash had lasted a few weeks already.) I was not optimistic but emailed the company, who offered to replace the leash. Only issue is they requested I send back the chewed one. I had already discarded it so I'm out of luck. My warning to you if you have a puppy is to monitor pup while on leash. This is not a good leash to leave on in the house to help catch puppy if he/she goes into a forbidden area or goes after another pet. It did, however, work great for walks for our 22+ lb whippet puppy who did pull some on the lead. I prefer a shorter leash and this one at 4' is the ideal length (I still shorten it in my hand ala Cesar the dog whisperer, keeping pup right next to me, but at 4' it's far less length in my hand.) The hook was sturdy and swiveled to prevent tangles. The mesh webbing material was soft and wasy to hold. There was a handy additional metal loop on the mesh handle that was great for tying a poop bag or two on. Just watch out if your pup is a chewer. Might be a better fit for smaller breeds (with smaller teeth!)

I was very impressed with the speed of delivery but even more impressed with the excellent quality of this leash. Thank you!UPDATE: 11/19/15 - this leash has become the only leash I will ever buy again. The key to this leash is the type of clasp it has. It's like two half circles that open away from each other and then close around each other making the clasp ultra secure to whatever you put it on - collar, harness, etc. I used to have no isses with leashes until I got my 21-month-old Pit Bull. The leashes with the regular, pull-down clasp would not stay on her! The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke and that maybe I had not secured it properly. I am walking with her and all-of-a-sudden the leash is in my hand but no longer attached to her. It happened a 2nd time after she shook herself off. The 3rd time it happened, I knew I had to use a leash with a more secure clasp than the ordinary ones that most leashes use. If you need this kind of security than this is the leash for you. Since this one, I have ordered several of these and they are the only ones I will use on my three dogs going forward. KUDOS to this company for getting it right!

I first bought this leash in 2014 for my active husky. Who is active and very strong when she ends up pulling. let’s face it- she rough and tumbles with everything we do. Little did I know is this leash would be my go to leash whenever I take her out and about. 4 years later, I still use this same leash!!! I’ve washed it clasped it more than I can count. I have liters used it every days since I got it.The clasp is still very sturdy, easy to unhook, and has never given me any issues.The nylon webbing is thick and durable. I’ve washed it in numerous occasions in my washing machine and have hung it to air dry.The metal loop near the handle is convenient and allows my to class a poop bag case, clip another leash to it to extend it, or even for my keys. The only wear is the metal overlay has chipped a little. But that’s to be expected after 4 years of EVERYDAY use.

I like the claw clip on this leash. I read that's the best kind to get, but it seems that very few leashes have this kind of clip. I also like the D ring by the handle. I use it to clip on his poop bag dispenser and his treat bag. The leash seems very sturdy and well-made and the color pops. I have a 70-lb German shepherd mix and I have no concerns about it breaking if he's straining at the leash while trying to get to a squirrel. I wouldn't go so far as to call it "comfy," though. I hold onto both the leash and the handle and both have gotten sore from restraining him (especially when I first got him and he used to pull on the leash all the time). But I would definitely recommend this leash to anyone looking for a quality nylon dog leash. I think I'll go with leather next time (if I could only find one with a claw-style clip like this one).

I have a 20 lb Mini Aussie, and although he's bigger than a toy breed, regular-sized leashes have clasps so large & heavy that they knock against his upper front legs. I had found a cheap little 3/8" red leash with a small clasp that worked fine, but wanted to find a purple one to match his martingale collar. I really only wanted 3 things: 3/8" width x 6' long, small clasp, and purple color. This leash met all those needs but is also much better than the cheap red one. This leash is smoother to the touch and is very nicely supple instead of stiff. The little "poop-bag dispenser" ring is another pleasing feature. Highly recommend this leash for smaller dogs!

Awesome and affordable leash! Was a little worried it wouldn't work for my dog (Doberman) as hes strong and can pull when he gets really excited, but I've been using it for awhile now and its perfect. Comfortable handle with padding and the clip seems strong. Viberent red color. Great buy for the money!

I wish the clasp was lighter, but other than that what can I say. It’s a leash that works.
