Good design, easy to install (if you are familar with power & hand tools), secure
It's a simple, yet functional and secure design. If you know how to use a power drill and some basic hand tools, the installation should go fine. I saw one review that said the drill bit supplied with the Locking Bar broke in the first use. Well, I installed three of these bars, a 5 drawer, a 4 drawer and a 2 drawer all with one of their supplied drill bits. Regarding security if someone really wants to get in, has the time and doesn't mind making noise, I strongly suspect it of course could be defeated. That being said, I've not tried to do that so I don't know how difficult it would be. But it would take some time and I'm sure it would make some significant noise. I would buy this again.

Very good lock
I needed a locking cabinet system for work and this proved to be successful and in compliance with security laws such as HIPPA, Sarbanes Oxley, and etc., which was great to know. I was able to get help with the installation from a handier person than myself. Using it was awesome. Glad to know that an external locking system can be used with my current cabinet system. Thank you!

no drill bit in package as !!!
Mechanism looks good.. and probably work well. AFTER I go to hardware store and buy a drill bit that DID NOT arrive with the package

Safe, secure, easy & affordable
Just 20 minutes elapsed from the time I opened the box until I was placing the padlock in my newly secured file cabinet. Very straightforward instructions, and all you need to complete the job (if you have a drill & screwdriver). They even include the drill bit. We love it.

Missing Parts
The drill bit was missing that was supposed to be included. Also, the lock bar at the top would not close enough to add a pad lock to the lock bar opening.

My husband ordered this for a jeweler friend who wanted to lock a 5 drawer file cabinet containing jewelry making supplies. Easy to install.

No drill bits so only 4 stars
Installed two of these on two vertical drawer filing cabinets. They were just what I was looking for and work fantastic. BUT be prepared with your own drill bits and have lots on hand (broke 4) as neither bar had the drill bit that was suppose to be included.
