Magic: the Gathering - Avacyn Restored (AVR) Sealed Fat Pack

The box itself came in dented. The contents that was damaged by this was the fat pack box and the poster.This maybe Amazon's packaging fault, but I didn't see any dents or marks on the packaging box itself. The Avacyn box was damaged once I opened it.The cards themselves are fine however. But I bought this for a flavorful box to hold my decks with and cards for an extra bonus, but I get one that's dented in instead.Overall, I'm fairly unsatisfied... But all the contents came in regardless, so I can't complain too much.

I'm a casual player, so I can't comment on the competitiveness of this set.That being said, I really like this theme. The two preceding sets contain many zombie and demon creatures; this set contains the angel themes that counter those. There's an element of good vs evil story in this run of sets; it adds another element of fun to the technical aspects of the game.Fat packs are just great in general. 9 packs, 2 deck boxes, a neat 20-sided die, a book detailing every card in the set, and a storage box. I plan to get a Fat Pack from every set going forward.

i've been collecting cards since around 1993 myself and playing the game. the hubby and i showed our son how to play when he was around 10 and he picked it up like it was second nature to him. he loves the game and collecting the cards. he's got probably 6-7 3-inch binders just stuffed with cards and is always making new decks out of them. this was a good purchase. he loved it.

Box alone is why I bought it. $60 at the time of my purchase and found it incredible. Love the players guide edition and got some decent pulls from the boosters. The die is black and white with a yellowish/goldish tinge on it. If you are looking for a box to carry a few decks then this is a great buy being white and gold gives it a sleek look.

These are so much cheaper than the ones sold in Target! I saved $10 in total buying this and even pulled Legendary Creature: Gisela, Blade of Goldnight =) If you play magic, and want to enter tournaments but some of your cards are out dated or banned, buy this for a cheaper price since Avacyn Restored is now in rotation... Thoroughly enjoyed this pack!!!

Good enough set, but the price on the fat pack is a little steep. Pulled my most valuable card from this set in a foiled Griselbrand (worth over $100 now).

I have never seen anyone complain about fat packs, and not just because of all the extra stuff that comes in it. It's as if they chose the cards that go in it.I opened up a temporal mastery, a cavern of souls and an alchemist's refuge in this one. I was very satisfied with the outcome!

Good for the time, can't imagine it will have longevity.
