A good spray foam gun for any level of use.
I've used this spray gun over the course of a month, spray foaming (attic air sealing) when I have some time on the weekends. The adjustment takes some getting used to, but dials in pretty well. The body and valve seem pretty solid for my usage.Following the instructions seems counterintuitive, but it has worked clog-free every time. I changed cans a couple of times and didn't have issues. The big selling point for me was the thickness of the handle trigger. A lot of other devices I've tried are fairy flimsy and if you have the slightest amount of resistance (from a clog) they bend. This one is a bit 'beefier' and seems well made. The only improvement I would make is to actually use the plastic tips that come with it. If you don't use these, you can build up foam towards the end. I'm sure this is easy to clean, using appropriate cleaners, but I haven't had time.

Best gun I have used Tips on Tips
I have found using this gun with the push on plastic tips to be a very reliable system for applying low expansion foam. I leave the can attached and tips on after use. If it's been a half day or more and I have not used the foam during that period, I pull off the old tip and attach a new tip. I try to keep the end of the gun tip clean. Putting on a new tip is typically the only thing needed. But once in awhile I might use some xylene to brush up the tip.I have not tried using the valve. When I change the can, I quickly detach, spray some foam cleaner inside the basket and screw on the new can as fast as I can.Great product and decent price.Thank you.Updates::::::The last few days I had difficulty using gun. I had been leaving the tips on the end after use. Sometimes it was at least two weeks between usage. After such a long period of time, I started using a small drill bit to remove dried foam in tip before use. This method allowed me to reuse the old tips but caused a build up of dried foam on the business end of the gun where the ball bearing valve is. I looked at the tip under the microscope and I could see solid buildup across the tip of the gun barrel. This was shutting off valve operation of course. I picked the layer of dried foam off (under magnification) with the tip of a knife blade. This resulted in a chewed up gun tip but works again like a brand new foam gun. My new habit is going to be to remove the plastic tip at the end of the day and clean off the end of barrel. I will use a new tip at the start of each day.I have a small jar of Xylene in the area where I keep the gun. I dip the tip in the jar when cleaning. Before I place a new plastic tip on the barrel, I shouldn't but I suck on it for a few minutes to soften it before slipping on. These tips are tough to attach. It helps to place the barrel on top of a corner of a surface to help steady the barrel while forcing the new tip onto the barrel.I had to do foam work in winter time temperatures. I took a box and put a 60W incandescent worklight inside the box. I stick the foam can portion through a hole in the top of the box to keep the can body warm enough to continue foaming in these temperatures.By following these procedures I have been able to minimize the number of guns I throw away and maximize the volume of usable foam in a can. This makes a job that used to be such a headache much more manageable and far less wasteful.Best wishes.

working well for me
Bottles are easy to change, and thread on simply. The open/close control valve moves/works smoothly. The unit is simple to operate and control. While most of the foam is flushed out when pressing the trigger with the valve closed, I still prefer to run some cleaner through it when I'm done every time. The unit is comfortable to hold and works well for me so far.

What a mess! Do Not Purchase any foam gun that looks like this one.
Thought that I would save some money for a the small job we were doing. Started screwing in the first can on the project we were starting and the foam started coming out between the mount and the can. Could never get the can screwed on tight enough to stop the foam from coming out around the mount on the gun. So glad we had on disposable gloves on before we started and a small trash can near by, otherwise it would have been even a bigger mess! So we went and bought at the Big Box Store the Great Stuff gun in order to actually start the project. It worked fine, with no problems. Lost a whole can of foam and the price of this cheap foam gun. Should have read the reviews before purchasing this one. There were warning in the reviews of this same thing happening to others. Learn from our mistakes. Since there are lots of sellers out there selling what looks like this same foam gun, don't purchase any foam gun that looks like this one from any seller. Would give it ZERO stars, but you are required to give it one star before posting.

Worth the cost savings.
Used it several times on relatively large projects. No issues since purchase. Very glad I saved money on this purchase.

A Great Gun...until it breaks
This gun 100% replaces the crappy over-priced DOW Great Stuff gun. It has far more control on the flow and doesn't gum up like the DOW gun. ...I had this gun for about 6 months now, and while I still find it a better tool than the DOW Great Stuff gun, the trigger began to get stuck, spraying foam uncontrollably and finally the gun fell from table height to the floor cracking a weld, forcing me to get a new one. Unfortunately typical of so much of the crap we buy today, it is not made to last. So I am downgrading the overall rating to 3 stars.

VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!!
I was so excited to find this tool. Such a shame that it failed me so miserably. This worked wonderfully ONLY the first time that I used it. The shut off valve is such a wonderful thought,,, TOO BAD that it failed to work after the first use. For the money that I spent on this joke of a tool, and the foam cans that fit it, I would have saved an incredible amount of my time and money by just using the basic foam that comes with it's little dinky straw. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this product !!!

So much better than disposable straws
Unlike every can that says it's restartable, this is *actually* restartable. Huge huge difference. Sturdy, easy to control, easy to clean. I accidentally left it open and uncleaned over night and it still restarted the next day. It didn't seem to be compatible with a can of lepage expanding foam. It physically fit well but almost nothing would come out. Could have been the can. Worked very well with Great Stuff Pro.
