Not all that suspensful
Maybe it was the fact that there was no one in this book to identify with. Lifestyles of the rich and famous do not particularly interest me. And the trials were just plain boring. It was an okay read, but it might be awhile before I chose another Patterson book to read.

Is this really you Mr. Patterson??
A big fan of Alex Cross but thought I would try a "different" Patterson storyline....Hide and Seek was a joke to say the least....read like it was written by a very young mind & and a not very bright one at that....almost soap opera style....did you really write this, Mr. Patterson?? I'm thinking I'll go on to another author for a while, just to clear my mind away from this very bad read....wheww.....

The evolution of the characters felt like it jumped around
I'm a James Patterson fan. This book did not measure up to his prior talent. The story line felt fragmented. The evolution of the characters felt like it jumped around. It took 6-8 chapters before I was sure what the storyline even was. Love reading his books but this one was disappointing. I finished only because I kept hoping my experience would change.

I liked it
I enjoyed this book enough. It was well written as a James Patterson book should be and I am a huge fan of his work. This one was not my favorite and at times a little boring and drawn out for me but I liked Maggie and even Will was interesting but the ending was just there. You knew what would happen early on so for me that took out the surprise at the ending.

Amazing how a writer/s can come up with so many ...
Amazing how a writer/s can come up with so many names for beasts of the Quag. Thought it was very interesting reading and cannot understand how writers can think in the way they do for this story. Way outside the box thinking, but fun to read.

I love James Patterson
Really struggling to get done with this. The chapters a too short, the story too contrived. I love James Patterson, but this is not even close to his best work. Skip this one.

I always love his books though
Haven't read it yet. I'm just trying to stockpile my books so I have plenty of winter reading. I always love his books though.
