Skil has stepped up their game,they have very good tools

First, the bettery was covered in some sort of greasy, sticky black substance. I was able to wipe it off, and thought I'd try it out and, if it worked, I wouldn't worry about it. However, as soon as I pulled the charger out of the box, it was clear by the rattling sound, that is was probably broken. It was. I called Skil customer service and they told me to return it to Amazon. I did. Amazon sent me a new one. The battery again was covered in that black sticky liquid. What is that? This time, the changer appears to work, so we'll see if the battery works and charges correctly. I ordered six other Skil PWRCore tools at the same time and none of those batteries were covered in gunk. Not sure what this says about Skil quality. We'll see.

I have purchased almost every Skil PWRCore 12 tool for my home. The ID574401 is simple to use, ergonomic, and feels well made. I really like the halo light ring on the business end. The 1/4" hex chuck is NOT intended to do drilling in my opinion. This is a sentiment shared by most users who have reviewed the tool. It should not be a deal breaker for anyone who knows how to use tools. You simply slide on over to the page with the 1/2" brushless drill, and purchased said drill ! You then have a combination of two super nice tools. It's important to note that I also have Milwaukee M12/M18 as well as Craftsman V20 tools. It is clear to me that I over paid for the Milwaukee tools when I use the Skil PWRCore 12 tools. If you are not a maintenance person in a manufacturing plant or a union tradesman, you simply don't need to pay through the nose for good tools. Ultimately, you can watch or view countless videos or sits that review tools and see that in most instances these tools come within a VERY close margin of the performance of those expensive tools..... AT VASTLY LOWER PRICES ! All of these tools have brushless motors, excellent performance, and batteries / chargers with advanced features. With the exception of the circular saw, these tools could easily replace those other brands in trades / industry, with the caveat that in industrial uses Chervon will not warranty these tools for the full 5 years you get as a homeowner / DIY'er. I am simply amazed with these tools. I am off loading the Milwaukee tools to a family member, and not paying those prices anymore.Try these tools and see for yourself. If your not happy, send em' back. I have a feeling you will not send these back.

I have every skil 12v tool in the lineup at this point and use them professionally everyday while this tool itself is very nicely built and rugged feeling there is a small quirk when using low mode and easing into trigger it trips the drill for a second and need to re engage plenty of power I love the light easy to use my issue is really with shipping line arrived in no additional boxes and the box was cut diagonally from edge to edge and the drill was missing original accessories overall shipping was poor the tool itself is nice

A really great product for the amount of money I spent, it was about half off.

Very powerful and light weight impact driver.I like the push in bit holder, but a couple times the driver bit just fell out when I was driving in some screws... hopefully it won't happen too many times.Has high and low speed, no issues driving in screws into plywood on low, though I usually pound in screws on high.The light on this impact driver is great, extremely bright.I'm a cabinet maker/ carpenter and this impact driver is easily up to the task.Looking forward to buying more Skil tools!

Después de mi decepción con otra marca, arme mi propio combo con un rotomartillo skil de 20v y este atornillador de impacto, ambos sin escobillas, la verdad está muy bien hecho y lógicamente es ligero pues es de 12 volts. Tenía mis reservas pero la herramienta y hasta el cargador están bien diseñados y fabricados con buenos materiales, vienen manuales en inglés y español y puedes dar de alta el equipo en la página web de skil y ampliar la garantía. Lo he usado cuatro semanas y me ha gustado su potencia, lo uso en mis proyectos caseros. Sobre la duración de la batería no podría dar un comentario a favor o en contra pues no la he llevado al límite pero carga totalmente en menos de una hora.

12 V son perfectamente suficientes para atornillar en cualquier proyecto de carpinteria, tablaroca o similar. Quizas no es para uso super rudo, (para eso hay otra categoria de herramientas). Me sorprendio la funcionalidad de la lampara incorporada, ilumina perfecto la zona de trabajo. Estoy muy conforme con la herramienta y con la relacion costo-beneficio. Conviene comprarlo junto con el taladro.

Dispositivo muy practico y buenos acabados , hasta el momento no he tenido ningún inconveniente , pero de la veces que lo he utilizado todo muy bien. No me arrepiento por la compra. Lo recomiendo.

El indicador de la batería no prende completo no sé si la batería tenga defecto o si el marcador no funcione en todo caso no me gusto
