Darn Tough VermontMen's Merino Wool Steely Micro Crew Cushion w/Extra Cushion Toe Socks

My husband started a new job, and he was coming home with his feet aching, and he was developing sores and rashes on his feet. His feet were being destroyed from his steel toe boots and wet socks from the rain. So after waterproofing his boots, getting him a shoe dryer, and it still not improving I then decided he needed new socks. Someone recommended these, and I saw the price and hesitated. I finally gave in and purchased them. After 3 days of him wearing them. We bought another..... he now has 3 pairs. His rashes and sores are gone. Best damn socks ever. Worth every single penny!!!!

We purchased 2 pair of these as a gift for my brother. He bought me 2 pair at the same time... LOL... anyway, they are great... I tried them on when I had a cold recently and they made me feel oh so much better... may have cured my cold or at least lessened it. Now I wear them out to the garage... out to bbq and out to get the mail... I live in the country... sort of upscale country but they are perfect for going from the TV room out to BBQ or just to pop outside and not have to chase down a pair of shoes... REALLY GREAT PRODUCT and holding up very well to washing every 2 days... I like these so much, I am going to make them part of a gift pack for my neighbors next holiday season... Socks + Wine + Gingerbread cookies... Honestly, try these 1 time... wear them for at least 2 hours and you will be HOOKED !

Really liked the sock, has a lot of cushion which can be alarming to someone you previous have socks with little to no cushion (Dickies work socks). The cushion and mobility of your foot in the sock can be mistaken for sweat, at least it was for me. After inspection during this I found I was just being fooled due to the high quality sock.Unfortunately for me I thought micro crew would be high enough for me but after wearing them with my red wing loggermax boots I can say I needed the full boot sock version. The extra material for the steel toe aspect of the boot is really something, really makes a difference when you go to kick something with your boot which, if you have them with steel toe, can be very painful.

Well right out of the package they were too big. I purchased them oversized to protect from shrinking issues. And they shrank just a little bit from from xl which they say fits 12.5 -14.5To fit my 11.5 size ( american sizing ) feet.So if you are a 13.5 you may need xxland if you are a 11.5 you may need xl I washed in warm/warm and dried in a dryer.I want to mention my feet are a D width. If you are 11.5 E or EE they may feel tight .So consider your width. Before you buy them.

After reading a recommendation for the Darn Tough brand online I decided to splurge on a pair of these socks for work. I've always been the type to just buy a big bag of cheap cotton socks a couple times a year and toss them as soon as they start to get holes.After receiving these socks I wore them right out of the package for a workday and ordered enough pairs for an entire week after I got home! These things are great and worth every penny. The extra cushioning helps loads with fatigue and the fabric stays dryer than the white cotton I'm used to.As an added benefit they don't trap the smell like cotton does either.If you're tough on socks, or just on your feet all day, it's worth giving a pair of these a try. I'll never go back to the big bag of cotton cheapies.

I now own about 8 pair of "Darn Tough" socks. From the over the calf to the just over the ankle ones. I have become a big fan. Price may be a little scary at first, but the comfort and durability makes it worth it. I have worn them for working in the yard in both hot and cold weather and to my surprise during hot weather my feet do not get over heated and cold weather they feel toasty. So they are all weather socks. The over the calf ones stay over the calf. I definitely feel the extra cushion in the sole as it is like walking on a nice plush carpet.

After a hard work day, a day hiking, casual Friday, anything... these socks won’t leave you with that feeling of having rotten feet at the end of the day. These socks breathe so well, yet they insulte your feet at the same time. They leave you taking comfortable steps on soft cushion that doesn’t really fray. I do recommend buying them because it’s worth the price. I had some for over a year and they have only shown a little color fade. They are much better than any other wool blend sock that I found so far. However, They do run a bit snug and I would change that.

As others have said, if you work on your feet or you wear boots for hunting/hiking, check out these socks. They are amazingly comfortable. I have just gotten a set of Frank's Custom Boots and am still breaking them in (the boots are amazing btw). I needed a pair of socks to help with the break in and the steal toe. Darn Tough delivered. I wore them all day yesterday and they felt great, no hot spots or rubbing. I will definitely be getting another couple of pairs.

Here is the extremely poor experience I had with Darn Tough socks. First I bought one of their 6 packs because you get a free pair for same price. Grabbed the LARGE because dimensions seemed right. When I tried them on, the length was correct but they were way too tight. I've never in my life seen socks this tight and I do not have diabetic swollen or fat feet. I returned them and then I tried these socks in X-LARGE. These were longer and the heel now came way above my heel. They were just as tight as the large ones. Can you believe this? This ridiculous company thinks that when you go up a size, you only have to increase the length and not the width! Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE. I had to go to the post office AGAIN to return their garbage.Keep in mind I can wear mediums of any other brand of socks I've ever tried, altho large are more comfortable.

They fit great, I’ve been wearing them for awhile as I was sick of replacing Walmart socks every month. I have had no troubles with them wearing out.3 month review- still holding great with daily wear

Bought these for my husband who works a construction job. He says they are the best socks ever. They actually fit a little big. He wears a 15 and the largest size is slightly too big, which is a nice change!

Nice. Fit well and feel good. Time will tell if they are worth it!

You get what you pay for with these Sox. Luxurious comfort for work boots. Spoil yourself and get two!
