I'm very impressed with the apparent quality of these switches. They are beautifully made and work properly as received. Only time will tell if they are reliable and remain free of corrosion. I purchased two of these to use as level control switches in cattle watering tanks. I mounted them inside 1-1/2" PVC pipes to act as stilling wells and to provide protection from big, curious animals. I use these to operate relays that turn the water supply pumps on and off. Previously, I used float valves, but they leaked and wasted water in a solar powered watering system that needs to be efficient. Now the pumps turn on and off based on tank level, and not back-pressure from leaky float valves. The pumps don't run as often, and they operate against very little back pressure, since no valves are involved in the system any longer. Less water is wasted and less solar/battery power is used.

I've been using a few of these float switches in my freshwater top off tanks for my aquariums. When the water reservoir container gets low, the float drops and signals me to add more water. I've been using them in freshwater for months and they're working great. No rust, no sticking and they alert me every time. For the price, compared to other float switches, they're very good

This switch is a nice idea, and works well. However, don't use it around salt water! It took only 3 weeks for the float ball to rust out and fill with water, rendering it useless. This almost resulted in disaster, as my aquarium sump over filled by 75 gallons nearly over flowing.

I put this in my sink to shut off my washing machine if the water level gets too high. You can flip the metal float to change it from NC to NO

I connected this to an ecolink smart sensor with inputs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5HB4U5/ and it works perfectly to alert if there is a backup in a floor drain.

Float switch fail mode is 8K Ohms closed and .5meg Ohms open. Supposed to be glass encased reed switch which should show <10 Ohms closed and infinite resistance open. I'll take the failed on apart to locate any obvious error, moisture ingress possible. Used in outdoor water tank as pump control. They're handy for my application, so I'll keep a spare.

used this assembly to make an automatic water top off for the sump of my aquarium. The float trips a timed relay that causes a fresh water valve to open for the right amount of time to fill the overflow back up. Note that this isn't meant to take more than an .5 amps so if your using it to turn something on, you should be using a relay. I also took the top float stop off so I could see it rise better.

I had it in place for about a month when it started to rust and send false signals to pump.

It works well. Decent materials and finish, performance is as expected.

You can reverse the on/off by flipping the float over on the rod.

La calidad del material es muy buena, lo usaré para controlar una bomba de achique. Por tanto lo usaré para controlar un nivel mínimo. Usaré el flotador para controlar un relevador, y este a la bomba. Gracias

Die Ware wurde in der angegebenen Zeit geliefert ,war ordentlich verpackt und unbeschädigt. Zur Funktion kann ich nur sagen das er funktioniert. Leider wird auf der Amazonseite nicht geschrieben das es sich hier um einen öffner-Kontakt handelt . Da der Schalter in eine Eigenbausteuerrung verwendet wird war dieses Problem aber nicht so groß.
