Great drum sander til paper blew apart.
I was very happy for the first 4 to 6 hours of using before the drum sanding paper blew apart. The manual states 86” long paper but it almost impossible to make it fit. Before it tears and gets shredded, take it off and make a backup for when it sh reads. The Grizzly staff at technical service are awesome and why it’s a 5 star.Before September 2023 the manual may have incorrect belt length, it’s been revised and can be downloaded from Grizzly, the maker of Shop Fox.I got the 86” belt to work with it being taped with fiberglass reinforced packing tape on ends to secure it with 1/2” at each ends. See how long it lasts!

I’ve used it a dozen times now and it performs well on beech,cherry, oak, and walnut. Be sure to have robust dust collection !!!

Bad sandpaper or machine??
I don’t know why this keeps happening on good sandpaper?

Works great paper held with clips!
Great drum sander. Did tons of research before buying shop fox. Needs to be setup on stand and takes two people or one stupid person, very heavy. Ran great right out of tbe box. Need to sand in small bites, DO NOT be aggressive or you will be replacing paper, 1/4 turns. Replacing paper was a challenge at first getting easier with template. Needs a great dust collector. My complaint is the bed creeps down while sanding when handle at 9 and 3 positions.

Good machine for a reasonable price.
I did have to tweak the tracking some. It is heavy! Make sure you have a strong helper for the assembly ‘tip up’. Overall I am pleased with the value and performance.

Junk
Chinese junk. Haven't been able to use since purchase. Came with tracking way off. Can't get to track right period. Broke a bolt off first time tightening. Onveyor belt is ripped to crap. Junk! DO NOT BUY!

Defective out of the box
The DC controller was defective and feed belt did not operate. Spent hours with extensive disassembly & troubleshooting issue. Mfgr support was OK and new board sent, but belt is very hard to adjust. I would highly recommend going with another choice for a drum sander
