A deck must have
I have 3. They work amazing. Put out great heat. Not too.bad to assemble. Easy to light and stay lit They look great and professional. The wheels make them easy to move. For the most part they dont get bothered by the wind unless it's very big wind. I recommend the heat shield to direct some heat and stop wind. I also recommend the covers. They are a must have and work great. But weather is hard on things but hwve lasted years and protected the heaters. Very happy and love them. They are a must have hence why I have 3 lol.

Great product
Good design and fairly easy to assemble out of box. Instructions are clear and posted well on the heater itself.

Worked better than expected!
I see a lot of reviews for these outdoor heaters- most not so great with complaints of it not heating the desired space, not distributing heat well, or even confusing to assemble. I will be completely honest- I had one previously bought from a Walmart vendor (still in the box). I set both of them up at the same time. (I gave dad, Mr Fix-It , the OTHER one to assemble) This HEATER was soooo easy to put together! The instructions were fool proof! The tools and hardware came in a packaging that were separated and clearly labeled! (The OTHER one came with everything in one little bag- no labels, all mixed up) Needless to say, assembly was a breeze! I finished and was able to help dad decipher which bolt was which for the OTHER one. Once connected to the propane tank (not included, but would have been cool) turned it on. Heat was beautiful (for lack of words)! It was set up under a large tent. No smoke, no fires, I didn't burn the tent down, thanks to a quality heater! Covered a good 10x15 space! I was pleasantly surprised since we had cold, rainy weather. We even had to turn it down later in the evening, because it got so warm. All in all! 10 outta 10. Def Recommend! A worth it product!

Great for the cool time
Excellent patio heater with a modern and elegant design. It’s easy to use and provides strong, even heat, making it perfect for outdoor gatherings on cooler nights. It feels sturdy, stable, and well made. Definitely a great investment for home or business use.

An excellent value, and great looking too!
I purchased this particular patio heater after having considered a number of other ones on Amazon and other web sites. One of the reasons for purchasing this one was the availability of the Sable Brown color. Another factor was that we live in a very windy area, and I was concerned about the heater blowing over. Some units do not have the ability to weight the base with water or sand, but this one does. Assembly was very easy, but time consuming. Because of my concern for the unit tipping over in the wind, especially if the propane tank is nearing empty, I decided to fill the base with sand. Water would have been SO much easier, believe me, but sand is about 60% heavier by volume than water, so for me it was worth the effort. About the only negative comment I have concerning this unit is that the fill hole in the base could be larger to make sand filling easier. Just filling the base took me about an hour. I would have to use a small cup to scoop up sand from a bag and then try to get it in the small hole. As the base filled up, I kept reaching in with a few fingers and pushing the sand away from the hole to compact it against the sides of the base. I was able to fill the base with about 80% of a 0.5 cu ft bag, so about 40 pounds of sand. The instructions were excellent - great pictures and easy to follow. I did not use their provided 'wrench', but my own socket set. The quality of materials is excellent - all painted items appear to be powder-coated. The unit has two wheels to allow the unit to be easily positioned. The first time you use this, the unit will smoke a bit for about 10 minutes or so, most likely burning off chemicals used during manufacturing. It lights very easily, within a few seconds. Of course, they recommend that you use the shutoff valve on your tank every time you finish using the heater. If you are the type of person who always follows every safety recommendation because some lawyer made them put it in the manual, you may get annoyed by having to lift up the tank cover every time you want to shut off the gas. Some other units have an access hole in the tank cover, but this one does not. The tank cover must be lifted up on the pole to get to the valve or to change the tank. There is a plastic ring around the hole in the tank cover to prevent it from scratching the pole when you raise or lower it. As for me, I will not be shutting off the valve every time I use it. If you have tested your tank installation and verified there are no leaks at the tank, it is really unnecessary, and actually you are more likely to cause a leak if you are continually messing with the tank every time you use the heater. The unit puts out a lot of heat. You will not be sitting out in shorts and a T-shirt when it's 32 degrees out, but on cool nights in the 50s, you can definitely be outside without a jacket on. I highly recommend this unit based on my limited experience with it, and will post an update if I encounter any issues that would affect my rating.

Not recommended for those living in snowy or windy areas.
Instructions not included. Search results turned up nothing. For some people, the missing instructions may be no big deal. For me, it seemed pretty straightforward and manageable to assemble. 1 - without the labeling of the nuts and bolts I ended up using the wrong bolts in the beginning. It wasn’t until the last steps that I realized this. No problem, I went to Home Depot and found the longer bolts and nuts to finish the job. 2- the “off” control knob is loose fitting. I did the gas line check before using which showed no leaks. But when using it I noticed it ran out of propane quickly. Reason being the loose control knob. 3.) As instructed, I filled the base with sand. But fitting the cover over it was very difficult to do on my own - harder than assembling the whole thing. But I got it on. And it was fine until we had a windy day on Sunday - the highest gust of wind was less than 20 miles per hour. The whole thing tipped over onto the patio. And the only benefit of it toppling was that a few of the nuts came loose which will help me reassemble the whole thing. Not recommended for those living in snowy or windy areas.

Easy start and stop and very warm on high. On medium our feet were cold
It is wonderful to be able to enjoy being outside in the winter. I love this heater. We did take our time to read all warnings and instructions before we began. That really helped. Took our time removing protective plastic from both sides of 5 reflector pieces so as to be sure it was all off. The unit worked on first start up. It's nice to sit outside and watch the sun set in the evening without freezing. It does take 2 people to put it together but it went like clockwork.

Amazon Basics Commercial Outdoor Patio Heater, Slate Grey Well i got this for an amazon warehouse deal openbox and it was a STEAL of a deal. Otherwise just out of my price range.. For this reason. i'm more excited about it than I would normally be. Assembly is easy EXCEPT the part where you are putting together the top reflector plate. I put the bolts together loosely as suggested but they just didnt line up. I had to bend and widen holes and manipulate the steel sheet to get the bolts to fit. For this reason, the top plate is a bit, deformed as shown in picture. Once I got it all assembled, it works GREAT. Takes a few minutes to heat up and get going but it really does a great job heating up a radius of around 2 meters It does a much better job heating the space than a fire pit (which i own). Same propane take, just much more efficient heat delivery than a fire put with more BTU than this thing. I like this thing a LOT and I anticipating using it outside often, even through the winter. Gets top marks from me minus the imprecise assembly for top reflector.

The Amazon basics outdoor propane heater was fairly easy to assemble and took me just under 2.5hrs by myself. I followed the instructions carefully, step by step. I needed a ladder to put on the top piece. As others have said it is quite tall, and bigger than I expected, but I wouldn't want to cut it down. It throws quite a bit of heat and it looks nice. It's easy to move around the patio as it has wheels. It took close to 20mins to peel off the plastic that comes on the pieces that create the top. The downside is that the controls are close to the heat source and so I could see someone who doesn't know the controls accidentally touching the heat element.

I really like how easy this was to put together. I did it all by myself, even with my long finger nails. lol...I can not believe how much heat it projects outwardly (4-5 feet comfortably) ....My deck party was a hit with this to keep my guests warm. It made the fall weather feel more like a summer evening. I must say that I would recommend this product based on fantastic price, fast delivery time, and works great. It is quite heavy duty as well. I did not have to fill the base with sand or water and it stood up right in quite windy weather the following day after my party. Buy it you wont be disappointed.
