These gloves were a great deal, well worth the money, I would recommend to any Pitmaster looking for a pair of high heat gloves. Great value. They have extra long gauntlets that protect my forearms when reaching into my cooker. They are washable, I would hand wash although I believe they can be thrown in the washing machine. Dexterity is good, the gloves are quite thick, but not too thick to be a hinderance. I can easily manipulate temperature probes and wires. The gloves have some silicone ridges on the fingers and palm that ensure a positive grip even on mildly greasy surfaces. They are heat resistant enough that I am able to pick up red hot burning coals and smoldering wood without burning myself or damaging the gloves. Very handy for rearranging hot coals/smoke wood. Do NOT use these gloves wet or damp as the steam WILL burn you. For hot liquids/grease you will need a different pair of gloves. And for your safety please remember these gloves do a great job of being heat resistant, ( I can hold burning hot coals for a few seconds without being burned) but they are NOT heat proof or hot liquid proof.

I have been looking for grilling gloves for my husband for quite some time. We've tried many and have been disappointed that they were either too short on the upper arm or not heat resistant enough.These grilling gloves have a great appearance, impressive arm length and provide a secure grip when holding an item. They are also very heat resistant.In addition, the manufacturer and customer service they provide are second to none. I highly recommend this product.

My BBQ gloves arrived today. The first thing I noticed when I took them out of the Amazon box was the heavy-gauge resealable bag they were packaged in. That was merely my first indication of the quality of this product. Taking them out of the bag, I was instantly impressed by the weight of the gloves. They are super heavy and VERY well constructed. As it happened, I had some chicken in the air fryer, so decided to try them out as soon as the fryer beeped. Normally, I must use a potholder and extreme caution to move the chicken to a plate, and cannot touch the chicken for several minutes without burning my fingers. I was able to not only hold the air fryer pot, but was able to remove the chicken with not even a bit of heat to my hand! I rushed and told my husband about these gloves, and he was also impressed by the workmanship and the heat resistance. Now... tomorrow I have to bake something so I don't have to use a couple of kitchen towels to take the pan out of the oven. Buy these! Seriously!

I tried bunch of mittens before this. I tried the ones you can buy at your closest grocery store and I also tried those full silicon/rubber gloves. Some of them disintegrated before and some actually let the entire heat through. This is different. This is nice because it has the best of two worlds. It has some super insulating fabric and it has those non-slip dots/pattens on top. It was a little hard for me to get my fingers through tbh (my fingers are not the slimmest) but after that its pretty comfy and super useful. I totally recommend it.PS: The dutch oven in the pic. is fresh out of oven and I can easily hold it as long as I want.

Started to burn my hands on a pan that's 400 degrees within 5 seconds... Definitely not rated as it states on the description.... Returned

I have been wanting to get a pair of BBQ gloves for a while. I finally got these and they were a great investment. I did discover they are not good with direct heat, meaning don't use them to take things out of the oven. I tried it, and though I didn't burn myself it did heat up pretty quick. Regardless of this, I am really happy with them.

My wife and I sometimes use these when we're feeding fuel into a very hot wood stove, or to reposition the occasional burning log that starts to roll out. The gloves have been great--I actually briefly grasped and moved a burning log without any discomfort at all. That said, some common sense is in order--I wouldn't test prolonged contact between the gloves and hot coals or open flames, and based on the other reviews I read, these probably aren't good for grasping hot metal or liquids (which are obviously much better conductors of heat than hot air or burning wood). I try to avoid leather goods, and these gloves check that box for me, and they're supposedly machine washable, though I haven't tried that yet, and may not. They don't have to be pretty or appear clean to do their job.
