As a layman, modernizing a kirana store and making it look like a supermarket appears to be a daunting task, there are so many why’s and how’s. Few chapters of ‘Be a Supermarketwala’ give the relevance, sequence as well as simple steps on how to bring about a step change. Difficult topics like budgeting, cash till management, markdowns etc are very well explained.Real life examples and case studies make it relatable and achievable to make a humble kirana store become modern and relevant to evolving customers.

The book is a must read if you own a general trade and want to turn your shop into modern retail- complete self service store.Mr. Mall has kept the psyche of the retailer in mind and put in basics of the trade in the storyline. It's a step-by-step guide to modern trade, wherein he has poured his experience out in the open for the trade guys to learn.

Book is great but some pages / tables / lines are not scanned properly. Even after raising complaints no response.

Loved thw simple language used. A great insight for someone who is very new and has no knowledge of opening any grocery store, let alone a mini supermarket.

Detailed and Must read for everyone who is into retail and supermarket concept.This book will not only help you but also equips you to coach and train your team in retail.

This book will provide you with basic inputs on setting up an store and things to be taken care of.. good read to start with.
