Abode Outdoor Siren w/ Strobe | Sounds Alarm & Flashes Light Outside When Alarm is Triggered

Added this outdoor alarm to my new shed. Its my second alarm (first one is in the front of the house). Works great. Tamper alarm is annoying, but I was able to bend the bracket to keep it from being so sensitive. Otherwise, works great!

These are great! Way louder than I expected. I got two for outside, but now that I’ve noticed I can choose for them to remain silent in home mode alarms, I’m getting 3 more for inside. No one will be able to carry anything out because they’ll have their fingers in their ears!

I love my Abode system. But I got this siren 4 or 5 years ago, it connected for a few months, and never worked since then. I love it in concept but it doesn't work well in practice. Everything else has worked flawlessly. Disappointing.

You have to remove the cover and turn on the battery pack and hit the learn button to connect it to your Abode system. While you're there, there's a flat metal strip above the battery pack. Bend it upward so that it touches the back of the cover when you put it back on and screw in the screw. Otherwise, you will keep getting tamper alarms that you can't get rid of.

Was shocked to see how big it's in person. Louder than expected, installation can be tricky, so visiting Abode website to read installation guides & reset guide first will help. Also a bit pricy & tricky to use. No logo on it, not sure if it's genuine, older version or returned item as must factory reset b4 it pairs & works properly, if not lying flat, must bend the tamper switch lever & can be many trials & errors.

The siren does not look like the picture—it is not as described. Both here and on abode’s website, the pictures display a nice clean white product. But what you get is a giant, ugly black logo and brand printed on it. Attached is a picture of what you get. Be aware that it looks different to the pictures.

Purchased 2 Outdoor Sirens direct from their website. Pros: Easy to connect, loud, bright. Cons: They both arrived with the logo and name printed on the entirety of the white space above the blue bar. What looked sleek in the product shots now doesn't look anywhere near as nice. Printed on and very challenging to remove the print.

Pros: Really loud, looks like some unobtrusive ambiguous high-tech widget on the house. Cons: Worst installation directions ever, constantly triggers its own tamper alarm whilst doing so, several attempts and modifications had to be made before I got it right. Fix this process and it's 5 stars.
