Nice quality and looks great

When I set out looking for a way to get the dot off my countertop in my kitchen, I did not expect this result. Ordering this item was easy (as always, who doesnt love Prime shipping). Shipping was fast and it was packaged nicely. Being the neat freak that I am, and beleiving everything has its place I decided to give this item a try, because honestly it was this or letting it sit on the countertop, and since it wasnt sitting on the countertop...... here we are. Once it arrived installment took 5 mins at the most (4 of those minutes were spending time in the garage trying to find a screwdriver. My husband doesnt have the same view about everything having a place). After the scavenger hunt, I now had the one thing that previously stood between me and getting the ECHOGEAR Shelf installed, a screwdriver. Installment was as easy. You just remove the screw that holds the socket plate in place, place the ECHOGEAR Shelf and shelf plate over the socket and replace the screw. Now ladies I know what your thinking, isn't it dangerous tampering with electricity? It's not dangeous unless you decided to take the screw driver and stick it in the socket and stir it around like you are stirring that first cup of coffee in the morning (so you can drink it as fast as you can without giving your tongue and throat third degree burns, while the kids are fighting and screaming they cant find their stuff, even though it is on the floor in front of them). The fit over the socket was good, it aligned with the socket perfect. Once it was installed, I wasn't very happy with it. I wasn't happy with it not due to any fault of the product, I wasn't happy with it because it was different. So not only am I a neat freak that likes everything thing in its place, I am a neat freak that likes everything in its place that doesn't like change (all sympathy cards can be mailed directly to my husband). Deciding to give the ECHOGEAR Shelf a chance I left it in place, and tried not to pay to much attention to it. (This was like trying to ignore someone in Walmart wearing a tutu, army boots and a bikini top in the middle of winter; its such a train wreck you cant help but look at it). You will be glad to hear I have adjusted to it. Overall, I am very happy with this product and I will be ordering more of them in the future. If you are looking for a way to get the Dot off the countertop, floor, or just somewhere to put it, then shop no more, you have found the product for you.

The media could not be loaded. After reading reviews and seeing some picture installs I knew there was a chance i had to install the way I did.- my outlets are installed high/close to the cabinet. I attempted to install right side up but the echo show hit the cabinets above. So we decided to install the mount inside down and it worked- the surface of the shelf was meant for a smaller device so the show doesn’t exactly lay flush but with how I positioned the plug it’ll stay put. I can’t necessarily turn the show but I usually dont. It’s sturdy enough.- I chose black because it works best with my back splash and counter tops- good to know: the excess cord can be stored inside the shelf as it is hollowOverall it’s an easy install and it works with the setup I have!

This makes it a snap to equip any standard wall outlet with a little shelf to hold an Echo Dot or Amazon Eero mesh Wi-Fi router module. Installation is a breeze. I use mine to hold an Eero I wanted to install in my garage.

The design of the shelf is nice and it looks great on my wall outlet. I love that it manages the cord inside the mount so that the cord is hidden. The shelf is nice and sturdy and will be able to hold up most small light things you put on it. It's super simple and easy to install.

This is pretty sturdy. It is very easy to put in place; you simply remove the outlet cover, put the shelf and matching outlet cover from the box into place, and put the screw(s) back in. You can slide the shelf open to store wound up extra cord to make it look very neat. And you still have the other outlet open as you did before. Now there is a space in my daughter’s room for the Alexa dot. It isn’t taking up space on her nightstand, it’s not needing an extension cord… it is where it works the best, and it looks cool and functions well.

Use this to keep an Alexa in the kitchen but off the counter.

Quality is good, installations easy and you don’t have to just use them for the Alexa’s.We use ours for our nest cameras and it’s super nice having the cable management and a sleeker / minimalistic aesthetic to our home security

Cumple su función, sin embargo no son las medidas exactas para los apagadores por lo menos en México. Yo lo atornille solo de un extremo, ya que intentar montarlo compleo no es posible. Alexa luce muy ordenada y sin cables. Consideren que es un soporte grueso para soportar el peso de alexa, no es para nada discreto, pero se ve bien.

Great little unit. Very well built. Face plate is solid metal.The only issue we hit is using this with a GFCI plug with USB on either side. Due to the plugs being a bit more spaced out, you cant plug the Dot plug into the top outlet. It hits the top of the stand. You also cant plug it into the bottom outlet because the power adapter for the Dot covers the bottom of the USB ports.Have to return it to get something else but the product is worth buying.If it were any other plug it would have been good and worked perfectly.
