Super high quality
If you don't know NTE Make some of the pest soldering and electronic products on the planet and this is no exception. I have bought the cheap stuff before and it just doesn't seem to work as well. I also use this with my desoldering gun for tough spots and it helps

Makes Solder Removal Easy
Have been using this solder wick for several days now and it meets all my expectations. The wick arrived on an anti-static bobbin in a sealed plastic NTE bag.Wicking action of this narrow version works great in small spaces with closely-adjacent pcb components.Very pleased with this product and wouldn't hesitate to order more NTE products in the future.

Worked as Expected
This is relatively narrow and thin, but easily pulled solder off the circuit board. Given the tight component spacing on modern circuit boards, the smaller width was a positive. Probably not the ideal item if you have a large amount of solder to remove from larger connections. Was a good purchase.

Pick me up clean.
Yes, five star rating that is some very very nice wick. Just like it's advertised it sticks a little bit every once in a blue moon but that's because of the operator. I will be back. Jim

works well but only if soldering iron is placed on the opposite side of the pub
I have not had much luck with wicks like this until I saw a video in which the soldering iron was placed on the opposite side of the board. In my (admittedly non professional) experience placing a hot iron on top of the wick seems to prevent the wicking action. That said, using it like I have mentioned seems to work quite well. To do this you need some sort of vise or clamp to hold the pcb vertically. The product is really nothing more than finely braided wire that works by capillary action to suck up the solder. I have had better results with this than with the cheap manual suction devices that come with many soldering stations.

Works when a solder sucker has problems
I've been using a solder sucker for over 50 years and always thought that this type of solder wick was too expensive. However, I was having problems replacing one particular part and so I bought this solder wick. It works very much better than I ever expected. I'm going to keep it in my repair kit, and replace it when necessary. Solder sucker if good for some things and lasts forever, but this wick does things that don't seem possible with just the sucker.
