Works great, but is sedating.
I am very pleased with this allergy relief. My son is very prone to allergies and gets sick a lot so I always need a reliable antihistamine on hand. This is comparable to Benadryl. It helps agains sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and itchy throat. The only thing is that it is sedating. So I don’t particularly like giving this during the day. Other than that it is great at controlling my sons symptoms.

Inexpensive and Effective
One dose (half of the provided cup) of this equals half of a regular Benadryl tablet. (This has 12.5mg of diphenhydramine HCL; a Benedryl pill has 25mg of diphenhydramine HCL.) So, there's no reason you have to limit this to children; just double the dose (fill the provided cup to the top line) for adults and you get the equivalent of one pink Benedryl. If you're looking at this listing, you're probably familiar with this medication. It's extremely effective against allergies, but it also causes drowsiness. In fact, a common use of this medication is as a sleep aid. If you give this to your child, it will put her or him to sleep within about 30 minutes. I'm not saying you should drug your children to keep them quiet on long trips, but I am saying that when hayfever symptoms hit really hard, it's miserable, and quiet sleep is a blessed relief. As a liquid, it's easier to swallow and faster acting than a tablet. It's also more expensive. What I do is keep a big bottle of generics in my medicine cabinet. They are about $10 for 600 tablets. Then I also keep some liquid, like this, for when symptoms hit hard and I need fast relief. If you have children who can't swallow pills, the liquid is also a good choice. This tastes like cherry. Not cherry from trees-- cherry from cough drops. Really, it's not a bad flavor. Yes, it tastes like medicine, but that taste comes after you've already swallowed. All in all, this is a good value. The ingredient is chemically the same as the name brand, so there's really no reason to pay extra for the brand.

Work exactly like the brand name
GoodSense Children's Allergy Liquid contains 12.5 mg Diphenhydramine per 5 ml. (about a teaspoon) and is a pleasant tasting liquid. Well, as pleasant as medicine can get. It works just as well as the brand name but for a lot less money. This is an important part of any medicine cabinet since if you are having an allergic reaction, this is the first medication you should reach for since it will help soothe any itching. It is great for seasonal allergies and since it has been around so long, it is very safe to use.

Great for Allergy Symptoms
Spring is in the process of springing wide open with pollen of all sorts here and one of my kids has an especially difficult, sneezy, itchy eyes time of it. This Goodsense Childrens Allergy Liquid antihistamine has done a great job at relieving her symptoms for a few hours at a time and she loves the cherry flavor. This is one of the few liquid allergy relief medicines that I don't have to plead with her to take.

Great for Reactions
We keep this around for bad reactions to bug bites or food -- easy to give and take. The cherry flavor is what you would expect, but kids aren't going to love it whatever flavor it is. Cheaper and just as good as the name brand.
