Great for picking bugs off plants.
These work as expected. I bought these to inspect and pick bugs off my plants and roses without having to reach into thorny branches. They are 7 15/16" long, so close enough to 8" for me. The tips on mine have some slight mismatch when closed; around 1/32". The serrations on the closing surfaces mesh together when closed so you can get some decent grip on something very fine like hair. Mine are stamped "Made in Pakistan"

It works
I was looking for a small pair of tweezers to replace a pair I've lost overthe years. The serrated tip is the key, and although this is allot bigger than I wanted, it does work better than standard off-the-shelf stuff you buy in low-end department stores. It doesn't work as well as my old pair, but it is decent at "grabbing" things stuck either in the skin or that slip out of other tweezers (such as splinters).

Crude, will they last?
It was packaged well in a retail sleeve in a bubble envelope. The packaging was in perfect shape. The forceps not so much. This means they were bent before being packaged. They were bent badly. For stainless spring steel they are easy to bend.I made an attempt to straighten by hand, they are better. Should not be able to bend buy hand that easily. They will work, but I have the feeling that I will be bending them and adjusting frequently. When squeezed with pressure the bending kind of goes back to the damaged position. They are stamped made in Pakistan. In conclusion they will work with cheap, crude quality.I know a good pair of tweezers run over $20.00,I took a chance. We'll see how long they last?Definitely would not pay more than the $5.00 I paid.

stainless steel and good spring action
It's everything I wanted and more; strong, stainless steel and good spring action. It's definately NOT the cheepo chineese stuff you often find at a flea market. I'll buy a couple more soon... for hobby and craft work. However... you could use them nicely for first aid as well !!!!!

They work fine as general tweezers
The image seems to misrepresent the tip of these tweezers. I was looking for a fine-tipped pair for use in lab work, but when they arrived the image on the website and the image on the packaging itself do not match the forceps I received. In addition, the contents aren't even the same product # as the packaging, so it's difficult to determine what I received vs. what I ordered. They work fine as general tweezers, but not what I thought I was getting. Disappointed.

Cheaply made. Shape of the tips not as pictured.
Tips too rounded, not pointy as on the photo. Thin stamped metal, mediocre quality finishing. Not the worst out there, just cheap. If you've used good quality lab tools, this will annoy you.

A bit long but excellent
These are excellent tweezers. They are a little long for bench work but they grip like a gorilla and you can get into deep areas with them easily. It's unlikely that a normal person's grip will bend them. Very strong.

Someone stole my forceps in my organic chemistry lab. ...
Someone stole my forceps in my organic chemistry lab. Instead of buying a new pair from the stockroom for $15, I bought this pair and just put it in my drawer. They got the job done.
