No complaints. We bought this so we could put a nose ring in our hogs that were aggressive tilling. We ended up putting 2, one on each side. They still root a little, but our pasture is able to restore faster now. Our boar was 250lb when we used this to ring him.

Works well once you can get the pig cornered. We used sorting panels and quickly snared the sow before she was able to knock her way through the panels. If your pigs are not very tame or you don’t have a way to corner them this might not work. If you can get the pig snared and get the cable around the upper/jaw just behind the front teeth it works great. Quick closure and quick release.People making reviews about trying to catch the pig around the neck don’t understand how this tool is to be used. It is expected to have the loop go around just the top jaw, behind the nose and between the front and back teeth. It isn’t supposed to go around the nose, or around both jaws (as if to tie the pig’s mouth shut). The mouth needs to be open in order to catch just the top jaw. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WRAP THE SNARE AROUND THE PIG’s NECK!! This is not the same sort of tool as a dog catch pole. This is a pig snare. Completely different tools

It holds medium sized pigs well, but it didn't work as good for my big boar.

This this got bent very easily. Not made of strong metal. It works, just not a heavy duty product. Once it gets bent, it is difficult to use properly because it doesn't slide well
