Sony S100F 2.0ch Sound Bar with Bass Reflex Speaker, Integrated Tweeter and Bluetooth, (HTS100F) (Renewed)

What an improvement in sound quality on my Sony 65" TV. Voices are clearer, music is fuller and I can finally hear sports announcers and not just the crowd noise. Setup could not be easier. Just one HDMI cord, plug it in and its done. (It even worked fine with my non-arc HDMI cord) My dish satalite remote paired up just fine with powering on/off and adjusting volume. The only odd thing is the "holes" built in on the back for wall mounting. They are 18" on center since the standard for walls in a house are 16" I had to get some simple angle brackets, but it is quite light so 2"x2' work fine with velcro holding it in place. (Still invisible mounting)

The TV I'm using this with, lacked in good sound. It is a TCL ROKU TV that has an ARC out (HDMI) jack. When I connected everything, and powered the TV on, the sound bar started with it, no need to turn on with its' remote. My system has a Sony surround system, that I've had since 2008. It is connected with an optic to RCA converter. I can't have the sound bar and the surround on at the same time. If both are on at the same time it sounds like an echo chamber. Regardless of that, the sound with just the Sony sound bar is excellent.

Purchased a "refurbished' unit. Delivery was on-time. Spotted some minor scratches on remote, otherwise unit appears to be new. Comes with power cable, remote, and optical cable for audio (no HDMI). Was a bit surprised how large the device was (reminder to measure next time). Connection was easy. Unit front lights indicate if the device is on-off, but there is no volume indicator on-screen or on the unit itself. Sound is significantly better than my flat-panel TV, although nothing terribly special. For the price, it works. I do wish they provided a new box as the "refurbished" unit I received was just in the previous box, taped up (Sony used to provide different boxes for refurbs).

We needed a better options for sound from a vintage 36” lcd tv we have in our master bedroom. While the picture was fine, the audio from the tiny inbuilt speakers was truly awful. I bought this having seen other positive reviews, and am extremely happy with it. The sound quality Is high, with powerful volume and bass, we could never have imagined such an impressive presence from such a small box. It’s extremely easy to setup and install, and sits nicely on top of the tv screen. Highly recommend.

I also have a Sony sound system with 5 surround speakers and a sub woofer. This one sound bar is almost as enjoyable as that. Definitely better than the sound from the Sony tv. I was concerned about it being refurbished but it is in excellent condition and performs flawlessly

Everything looks and works like new! I was skeptical to buy at first but I can safely say this was a win! Felt especially good when I saw this same model "on sale" for $100 in-store.

So, I had Hugh expectorations for this product and I’m not going to lie it was loud. But not with the bass depth I was expecting, it’s just enough i would say but considering it’s a name brand sony, I was expecting higher sound quality from the bass. If you want bass look for something with woofer or maybe a more expensive all in one sound bar I guess.

Like listening to a child's toy. The sound quality is marginally better than a cheap TV. The refurbished sound bar was delivered with many visible scratches and marks but no accessories, not even a power cord. I found a power cord and connected it to a TV via a SPDIF optical connection. The sound was very weak, slightly worse than a UE Megaboom for comparison. Volume did not change via TV remote although that may be a function of the TV. Without the remote that should have been included this made it a non-starter even if the sound quality would have been better. Don't bother with a new unit, there are better options. As "refurbished" this was a complete waste of time.
