16in high is perfect for sitting, much too high for a step.
Inspired Living Step Heavy Duty folding-stools, 16" High, DARK GREY Review.I needed a light weight, very sturdy, collapsible seat for my wife and me. High enough so we don't have a problem sitting down and getting up. I have provided all the information I needed to make my choice. I appreciate other reviewers' details, and so want to give back to the community.Pros: The "brand" and style is available elsewhere for a couple of bucks less but without the dependable Amazon policies. It arrived today, quickly after order. The 16" seat is perfect for both shorter and taller (I'm 6') folks.Open: 32x 39.3cm bottom OD, 22 x 29cm top OD, 40cm high OD. Closed: 4.5cm OD thick. Weight: 3.4lbs.Cons: For hard not soft ground, feet will sink into grass/softer dirt. This is true for most collapsible seat styles. The 16" is much too high for a step stool. The shorter height options, having a lighter weight and with the same design might not be reliably sturdy for step stools. The top flexes inwards along the middle hinge only, especially between the hand slots. I took off 1 star for that; the fix would be for a cross beam to be added under the top, or an extra shallow top pan to be carried as a tie-on top strengthener. The hinged sides have significant, inwards flex which did not appear to me as a problem. The pictures of similar designs with different names did not appear to display a hex strengthening pattern and also did not provide a total weight from which I could guesstimate the plastic thickness, i.e. strength. One of the designs did have a one piece top design which would significantly improve sturdiness, but when folded flat, it was too tall to be carried around outdoors.

This is a BEAUTIFUL Lilac/lavender color & PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!
I bought this spec one for the color and it’s so BEAUTIFUL - it looks exactly as pictured. I was worried it would be darker of a purple in person bec that happens all the time with lilac & lavender colors. To my surprise the color’s spot in! It’s super easy to open and close, when folded back up it’s extremely compacts - I have one between the fridge & counter top, another on the the side of my dryer (in the little tiny space between the side of my dryer and the wall). And the third one is in between two craft storage units. It fits perfectly anywhere and I use them all the time. My favorite thing about then is the color- that’s why I purchased two more the day my first one arrived. Now there’s one for every floor of my condo.I was also worried about it collapsing the first time I used it but thankfully this one is so stable & sturdy - made of high quality product. It’s not flimsy like many other ones I’ve looked at.I highly recommend getting one (or more) for reaching the upper kitchen cabinets, cleaning the top of mirrors and fridge, and so much more. It really comes in handy when you’re only 5’2”.Don’t hesitate, you’ll love it! I’m so glad I finally found the perfect one :)

Wrong color
I usually don't write reviews unless I have something substantial to say about the product. Unfortunately, I only just received this yesterday and had to get word out that I definitely received the wrong color—most likely Baby Blue instead of Aqua with the dark blue grip. I'm not gonna bother exchanging it because this color's nice, too—not worth the drive to UPS—but they did mess up here.Again, I can't speak much for the stool cause I just got it. It's very easy to fold with the handle, fluid movement, which makes me wonder about the sturdiness/stability especially against some horror stories of these stools breaking beneath people's feet. Picture features a women's US size 7 shoe for poor size comparison.By the way, I didn't think much about the bumps for "grip" when I bought this, so I realized it might be uncomfortable if used for sitting, but it's not so bad if you sit on it longways (grips parallel to your hips, which is likely how you'd sit anyway). I'm sure it depends on the user's size, though, and I'm a small person haha.

I'm on the fence with this item.
1, the color is off. It's more Coral than Blush Pink. Like a Pastel Pink, which I don't like. 2, I'm not confident about the sturdiness. The sides don't lock in tightly, or extend fully to lock in either. I wouldn't attempt to stand on it. BUT, I LOVE the knobs on the top of it. Luckily, I bought it to use as a foot stool, not a step stool. As a foot stool it's awesome! Those knob thingy's work great if you have an itch on your foot, or even to massage &/or relax the soles of your feet. So, I'm on the fence with it. As a step stool, no way. As a foot stool, awesome! You decide. ;)

easyto use and lightweight
It always lands on its feet when my 85 year old sister drops it out of my 4Runner. It has become her favorite tool she is a bit short and she uses it to enter exit vehicle.

Shatteringly bad
Rarely have I had a product fail so badly. I weigh maybe 170lbs and this thing shattered on the third use. Buying this stool means risking your life.

Buyer Beware!
Purchased first step stool months ago. Already has pieces breaking off and big crack down the side. Thought I got a defective one, so decided to order another to give it a second chance. Right out of the undamaged box, the top of the stool when set up(handle when folded) is cracked all the way across. Brand new out of the package! Hence the buyer beware. Do not trust this item with all of your weight, big or small. And not to mention the chemical warnings that should be in description of product. Very bad product and not only a bad investment, might actually cause you harm or injury. Amazon should consider not selling this product to it customers.

*It's important to know the health risks first*
Before i make my positive comments i feel it important to know a main health risk that was never listed before you make a decision. The stool has the *CALIFORNIA CANCER CAUSING RISK* warning alert sticker added to it that you will seen when it arrives. That label indicates that It can cause birth defects and further reproductive harm. With that being said i knew all of this before i purchased the stool only from reading the comments of others. I have bought a few other things over the yrs from other online stores/found that out after the purchase & returned the items immediately. I would never want to put a *child or pregnant mother at risk even if there was only a small chance of any risk no matter how cute the item was.* However, i have only myself to be concerned about. I've had 3 different cancers in the past & i don't plan to have babies any longer. The stool is very nice, convenient & affordable & it came very quickly. I washed it up good & i believe the reason there may be that risk warning to this stool is maybe that because led paint may have been used &/or some kind of glue that was used to glue used on the top part of this stool was not regulated for use in the Western Countries, places where the majority of the customers would be buying from. Good Luck & stay well in this crazy world that we live in...

Just what I wanted
A light, portable, and sturdy folding step-stool at a comfortable height for stepping onto or off of. At 5'6" I'm vertically challenged compared to some, but with this folding step stool I can easily change standard height ceiling lights without dragging a bulky ladder or chair around. Using this handy folding step stool, I easily unload 14.5' kayaks off the roof of my pickup truck solo. (I'm about 190Lbs dressed and my kayak is about 70Lbs with safety gear). Was this helpful?

I sacrificed to the blood god opening this thing
I opened the package and was like WHOA NEATO! I read the review sheet and it made me laugh, and then I went to open this thing - and that's where it became fun. I realized there was a plastic zip tie tied to this thing... yeah, I know... I was like yes! I get to use my leatherman, I whipped that bad boy out, popped open the knife and tried to 'saw' it open, this didn't work as I realized I was leaving a mark on the stool. So, I tried the other way. I put the knife inside and pulled it toward me. Nothing happened. Pulled harder and SNAP! The blood god has now appeared and is ready for his prey. I stabbed myself in the hand going right to the bone. YEEEEOOOTCCHHH. Blood quickly pooled all over my hand, I ran to the bathroom trying to outrun all the blood dripping on the floor. I cleaned the wound and tried to put a bandage on it but it would stick to my skin, I quickly ran back into my living room dodging pools of blood on the floor to grab some kind of tape to reinforce the bandage. Bah, all I can find is duct tape. I pulled out about three feet of duct tape and tightly wrapped it around my hand. Ahhhh all better now. It's a good stool, just be careful pulling that plastic zip tie thingy off
