Great for value, works exactly as intended but one major flaw!
The spray can set is a very good for value set, application was fine, no different from a can you'll normally find in Halfords. The colour came out very well. The brigher and deeper Red i was looking for, not pale or faded. I've tested this in heat conditions, it holds pretty well on my engine strut brace bar and brake calipers.HOWEVER. I've unfortunately had to rate this product down not one but TWO stars.Firstly, I've left the spray can to sit for 3-4 months before using it again, I removed the can cap as instructed and it unfortunately broke the spray nozzle. Thankfully it can still spray normally when placing it back on however with minor leaks from the top of the can. I would have lowered it down by 1 more star here if the nozzle was blocked due to dried up paint however, it managed to pass this part and function as it should. After spraying one brake caliper, I moved on to the second one and suddenly the nozzle locked up and was exploding paint all over the place like a water fountain... thankfully I tried to use as much of the paint as possible but the liquid was too uneven to make a significant layer out of it... The result was a completely messy pavement, thankfully washed off most of the paint from my hand, most importnatly, the can was facing away from me so none got on my face... just its a shame that there was a lot of wasted paint.... Ultimately, I still had the second can provided in the bundle to finish the job off so it wasn't too bad or much of a loss.As for the second star reduction, I've found that BRAKE CLEANER OR A PETROLEUM SUBSTANCE has the ability to fade and with enough of it, remove this paint when applied and wiped with minor force. I would not recommend using this paint without a PETROL RESISTANT TOP COAT / LACQUER if what you're painting is going to be near any possible petrol spillage.I will be using the E-Tect's Red coat on my engine cam/rocket cover however I will not use their Clear Lacquer in future in case of possible spillage of oilage etc etc. As I do not trust their clear lacquer for protection especially when cleaning the engine bay.In conclusion, if you buy this paint, do use all of it ASAP before their plastics deform from the hot and cold environment and be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS when removing the spray can cap. But most importantly, DO NOT use this product without a petrol resistant top coat / lacquer if you're painting something thats going to be near petrol.
