I looked and looked, and this was the best sauna hourglass timer I was able to find… wanted to get something with an analog look to it, and this one has nice 5-minute demarcations which was a nice touch.Unfortunately, as with pretty much all the sauna hourglass timer reviews I saw, this one failed within a month. Maybe it’s something about the extreme temperature swings in a sauna that makes the sand get clogged up, I’m not sure… but you definitely want a working timer in a sauna so you don’t stay longer than intended and this one freezes after about 10 minutes. The attached picture was taken the next day after it had been turned over, so it was stuck solid.My next attempt will be a dial timer—they have nice ones here on Amazon that also have an analog look (even matching the Fischer thermometers we have) but hopefully will last much longer than this hourglass, which looks nice but is completely nonfunctional.

This timer is exactly what you expect for a sauna. It has the right look, is easy to see even if you usually wear glasses and easy to adjust by just flipping the glass.I also was able to install the timer quickly with a screwdriver. No problem with this thing.

Love the wood finish and the light colored markings as well as the white sand inside because I like to sit in my sauna at night. However I’ve only use this hourglass about three times and so far the Sands have gotten stuck once. Why go to all the trouble to manufacture an sand hourglass when the sand gets stuck and malfunctions? I am hoping it won’t repeat itself but my gut says it will.

Very accurate with time. I timed this and was within seconds. Also looks good in the sauna.

Just what we wanted looks very nice , for outdoor barrell sauna
