Oh wow, this was a lot better than expected
A few points about these.* It's a bit smaller than I expected from the photos. It's only a couple inches long and seems tiny compared to what I'm accustomed to with a nail file.* It's EXTREMELY sharp and high performance for a nail file compared to anything I've used in my 49 years. You're not going to cut yourself but I'm not sure what other word to use to describe the file part of this thing. If you drop this on something that's cloth, it's probably going to just stick to the cloth and not keep falling. The file is pretty fine and smooth and not coarse at all, but that fineness has some GRIT to it! If you touch it with your fingertip and rub it lightly across your skin, you'll know immediately what that means. This is not a garbage file!* It is extremely lightweight - it's almost like you're not holding anything at all. It's really almost feather weight. As a post-trimmed nail file, it works fantastically! It makes short work of cleaning up any roughness or edges or points or dangly bits you have left behind after trimming your nails. I don't like being unkempt or unmanicured, but I also loathe the effort that's required in keeping myself civil and presentable and look at self-maintenance more as a curse or necessary evil in life that brings me no joy other than not having to deal with long nails when I'm trying to use my fingertips for something. Using this file to complete that unwanted task, though, is almost a joy! Nothing but this kind of high performance could get me closer to looking forward to trimming my nails the next time they've grown out. What can I say? I'm sold. This thing is fantastic. It's what everything you spend money should be. I had been considering everything from the cheapest piece of junk I could get at a grocery store or drug store to the ultra-luxury end of the grooming spectrum, and ultimately settled on this file. I may still eventually get something more in the luxury goods end of the spectrum _IF_ this can't be made to fit into a manicure set case, but I will definitely never NOT use this one again. This thing is amazing and you should just get one and end the arduous and dreary life of maintaining your nails so you don't look like a cave man anymore in public. This may not be perfect, but it is definitely a joy to use.

Good quality, pretty basic nail file
Despite being a high quality Japanese stainless steel product, it’s ability to file your fingernails isnt any better than an emory board or even the built in file that comes with their clippers. It’s modern design makes this a solid accessory when paired with a manicure kit but the price point is a bit high for what it is really.

What in the world⁉️ IT IS BACKWARDS/INSIDE-OUT‼️.
🙏🏻PLEASE FIX IT! This is potentially the greatest design, but it's i side-out. We need that rough part on the outside to be put on the INSIDE.This is a 5-⭐️ shape, first, it just needs the abrasive on the INSIDE, or BOTH sides. I definitely want to buy it again if that upgrade happens!Surely Japan knows that the abrasive part needs to be ON THE INside of the file, NOT the outside. It does no good at all to put the abrasive on the outside but it's awkward to file on a hill.✅:On the INSIDE, it would be efficient AND STEADYING.Japan, PLEASE, at the very least, put the abrasive on BOTH sides, and if you only want to do one side, PLEASE, I need the abrasive on the INSIDE of the curve. I really need a curved one, and otherwise, this blade shape is great.Someone in the design department wasn't thinking about where to place that abrasive side, though.I am literally going to take my metal-working tools and turn this thing inside out myself. It'll look like crap by then, but at least the abrasive will be on the INSIDE where it correctly belongs🙄😟.

Good quality, could be longer
I just wish it were a bit longer, otherwise a very high quality product

Leaves nails satisfyingly smooth
I'm no expert when it comes to nail files. I've used the cheap paper ones, ones on Swiss army knives, and the ones on the back of nail clippers.I first found out about this company when I was gifted nail clippers (it's a strange but useful and pragmatic gift). The file on the back of these clippers were made of the same design so I went on a quest to see if I can buy only the file since the file on the back of the clippers was encased in plastic and didn't have a good edge. After going to the manufacturers site I found this curved file. They retail for the equivalent of about $3-4 in Japan. After griping a bit, factoring in transportation customs and duty, and the fact that I don't want to fly to Japan just for a nail file, I purchased these.Right after filing the flat parts of your nail you almost think it's a bit too aggressive. After a few hours of having forgotten you've filed your nails, I noticed how velvety smooth the surface of my nails have become. The curve helps you get under your freshly cut nails so they aren't sharp snagging talons.I wish there was a flat end so I can file the top surface of my nails a bit more evenly.I've had this for a couple years and they still work great. Perhaps in the long-run these will turn out to be more economical than your paper or drug store metal files.

It fits your hand and is fun to use!
Who knew that there was another way to make nail files! It's doing great on rough edges. It might not be good for men with large hands. At 3-1/2 inches you could call it tiny. It also may not be good for a full manicure. It is great for keeping the free edge of the nail smooth and even. It will not replace your normal nail file but it is great for small jobs.

Strange curve but I like them
I’m left hand and it took a bit getting used to but once I got the hang of it … I’m sold on them.
