The cutter did an excellent job of shortening my belt. The tool was perfectly symmetrical and quite well built. The tools came sharp enough to make a nice clean cut through my leather.Tip... I use a pencil to put a center line mark on the leather and a center line mark on the tool itself. I then visually made sure the tool was aligned properly and made one hit with a 2 pound hammer to make a factory looking cut in my belt.The leather store near me wanted $80 for 1 tool. I got 7 tools from Amazon at a fraction of the price. These tools were even cheaper than what I was quoted by my shoe repair shop to cut the belt.

i have wanted a set like this since i started leathercrafting. this set is awesome and works well..highly recommended

each cutter / die is extremely crooked. It is OBVIOUS when cutting my material that the edges aren't straight which makes these completely useless. I'm not sure how this even made it past quality control ....

Pros: Sturdy construction and razor sharp out the packagingCons: They ship covered in greese and need a good cleaning and preserving with clean linsead oil. Also the angle og the tool is a little to triangular for my taste but some quick reshaping fixes that too.

I like that the pieces are quite solid, and I don't hesitate to pound on the handles with a hammer.But the edges are not exactly V shape. The pointed end of the "V" is more rounded. And the edges are not sharp enough, so I ended up using a sharpening stone on them, vigorously.I bought this to make V cuts for plants grafting. While this is ok enough to use for grafting, it is not exactly what I expected. Thus the 3 stars.

Excellent quality for the money

This is just what I was looking for to create the "V" shape on the end of belts and closures for my leather projects. Product works great and happy I bought it.

was looking for a strap end V shaped easier to manage with gloves on didn't want half round shape to change it up. they gave a nice clean line will make edging easier this is on a 3/4" strap , these straps were for a motorcycle tool bag that I am making.

箱を開けた時点でチャック付きのポリ袋に錆が見えていた、嫌な予感はしたが40番に赤錆びっしり。番手が下がるにつれ錆被害は少なくなったが、届いてすぐに清掃し使える物だと思ってたからガッカリ。せめて梱包時にオイルでベタベタしてくれた方が使う側としては余計な手間が省けて嬉しいです。

These are not a bad value. I found I had to sharpen all of them to get a clean cut on my leather straps, but once sharpened, they work well. Some of the punches are not very symmetrical, so you need to pay attention to the layout and may need to refine the shape with a knife, but overall, a reasonable value in a set of strap punches. Better quality ones are far more expensive.
