With lactose, gluten & peanut allergies... it was near impossible to find any chocolate that tasted good. They (chocolatiers) had either tried to add more sugar to hide the flavor, or they tasted grainy or waxy because the delicate balance was off. I happen to really love the bitter taste of dark chocolate, so I was very happy to see that they didn't try to cancel that out with sugar- as it only has 4g- which is fantastic if you have to watch your sugars like I do! They add agave, which isn't as overpowering as stevia tends to be- so it has a delicate sweetness that doesn't leave you reaching for a glass of water (like many artificial sweeteners tend to do). There isn't anything artificial about these bars of chocolate! Fair trade, non-gmo, organic, vegan, nut free, dairy free, gluten free, soy free.... need I go on? It's free of the most common allergens, but what it's full of? Flavor!!! It's so creamy that it starts melting as soon as it touches the tip of your tongue! It also has high quality ingredients like Belgium chocolate solids (aka the cacao nibs). If you've had the luxury of trying chocolate from around the globe, you've probably tried French, Belgium, and Swiss- and know they make very delicious chocolate!! But this chocolate is made in America, in Louisville, KY along with luxurious Belgium chocolate! So try it, you won't regret it!!! And as another reviewer said- it has low calories for such a decadent chocolate bar- so now you can enjoy great chocolate even if you're watching your waistline! In one word? Yum!
