I purchased 3 of these at the reduced price because the packaging was damaged. These gates are crucial in our new house to keep our two dogs where we want them. The auto-close is literally the best thing ever, it makes having to walk through gates throughout your house so much less of a nuisance. I did have trouble with the install. Its very straightforward and easy, I got the first gate installed perfectly, the auto close worked great! But the second gate I could only get it to auto close one way, and the third gate wouldn't auto close at all. I sat there for hours trying to adjust them to the point my finger tip started to bleed so I stopped and asked my handyman to take a look at them, hes awesome and fixed them no problem! But yea super annoying and frustrating, I even googled for videos or troubleshooting tips but found nothing, thank goodness for Rick!

In my opinion, NEVER buy a safety gate with plastic hardware - when a little one's life is at stake, it simply isn't enough. This looked like ALL metal, so I decided to give it a shot. Literally 5 minutes after I installed this, my 18 month old daughter yanked on it a few times and the plastic part that locks the gate snapped, and the gate flung right open!! We are VERY lucky I was standing right there!Stay away from this brand, or any brand with cheap plastic parts! Unless of course this is just to keep a dog from going up/down the stairs, stay away!

Initially I used this gate because my daughter grew into a curious little toddler who wanted to escape out the front door. I live in apartment complex so I thought this gate would be a easy to solution not to add any holes in the wall. Well after having this gate for a few months I decided it is time to write a review . At first the gate did its job until you go in an out a few times it becomes loose . This gate falls out of the doorway quite often it’s very annoying to kept repositioning . I can’t wait to move and throw this crap away. While the concept is great for no holes in the wall , it’s a crappy gate especially for the price.

Works for our needs. First thing I did was 'try' to close the gate and didn't work until I saw the yellow sign. If you are installing the gate correctly it will close. The width between our wall was 33 1/2 inches. I did need to use the extender. My puppy will be here next week and hopefully it won't go through the gaps. In the case it does I'll probably use the tube floats and put them on the gate. This might be tacky but the gate is temporary until our pup is potty/house trained.

I'm 70 years old & put this up alone. It's a tad unwieldy to do it alone, but I was able to do it without problem. I got it to keep two of my Chihuahuas separated because they will fight each other and there is a great disparity in their sizes. My space is 36 inches wide and by using the included extension, it fits perfectly. I am having knee surgery soon and knew I wouldn't be able to step over the gate I had previously been using. I compared many and decided on this one for the price quality, and reviews, and that it did not have to be permanently installed. I live in a mobile home & it's hard to find solid places to connect things to the walls. I did buy the wall protector cups (separately) to better distribute the pressure of the rods in order to keep from possibly making holes in my walls. The spacing between the slats works well for my littlest guy; he's 4-1/2 pounds and cannot go through it. I also like the self-close feature for when I am carrying something. With my old gate, I'd have to prop myself against the wall, balance the stuff I was carrying (usually dishes), then step over a 2-foot high gate. I'm only 5'2" so that's a big step for me. No more! I can open the gate with one hand & walk through. It also has a stay open feature, which will be very handy for me when I am recovering and having to use a walker temporarily. Need a gate for pets or toddlers? I highly recommend this one! Do be aware, however, if not permanently installing it, a big dog or an older child could push this over. Gravity and their weight and all that. It is not recommended for children over 24 months. All in all, I am HIGHLY satisfied with my purchase!

This thing is impossible to install. I've never been able to get the gate to line up correctly. I've even contacted customer service and they just tell me I need to install it better with the tension arms even. I literally sat there with calipers and a wrench (because when it gets tight, those tightening wheels become painful to turn) and adjusted those things to be exactly equal to a fraction of a millimeter and the gate still didn't close correctly. The closest I got was when I just disregarded the guidance and adjusted willy nilly until the arrows finally lined up and the arms were incredibly out of proportion. That lasted all of one day and the gate creeped out of alignment on its own.However, the gate closes with like three different mechanisms and even out of alignment, at least one of them still works. So for my purpose at the bottom of some stairs, I guess it's good enough. Last reason to dock a star is that compared to the other gates I own, I just don't like this opening mechanism as much. It has a slider button that you pull while lifting the gate up and it doesn't work as well or easily as some other gates, though this could be related to the impossible installation.

I was already familiar with a similar product so after reading the description I was willing to take a chance with it. I had just built a new deck and had two big dogs and wanted to be able to enjoy the deck on nice days without the dogs jumping on us so I purchased these gates in the hope of keeping them off especially when the grandkids were over.I purchased two gates which were very easy to install and work well. Yes I installed them outside which they probably were not designed for and I understand that but they also seem to be made very durable. Only time will tell. So far they seem to be holding up well.I would definitely recommend and purchase this product.

I bought this to prevent my daughter from going outside and I have to say it’s a great, sturdy gate that’s easy to open and gives me the peace of mind I am looking for. HOWEVER please note that you do need to screw the mounts to the wall. The gate is pressure mounted to these pegs that you have to Install into the wall, so you still need tools for assembly. I don’t know why it says you don’t need tools.If you don’t want to drill holes, look elsewhere. But overall this is a great gate and I would recommend it. (I gave one less star because of this)

Bought for friends who used old pressure baby gates to keep their dogs out of the kitchen. I personally grew very tired of stepping over the old gates, or the gates falling down, as did their other friends. I “gave” them this gate but after using it they insisted on paying me back. They loved it, as do all the other friends.It is VERY easy to install (5-10 min max), and the swinging door mechanism is easy to use, with one hand. It swings both ways, and will stay open if you want, or very little effort to shut it. It’s very solidly in place with just pressure, but comes with pieces you can use to screw it into the wall (I would guess that if you put it at the top of stairs, for a baby, it would be very solid).The price, quality, and features of this could not possibly have been more perfect. I’d give it 6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars

Moins "heavy duty" que d'autres barrières semblables mais franchement correct. Elle se ferme bien, est facile à assembler et point HYPER IMPORTANT: Elle est facile à ouvrir d'une seule main. J'avais mis la main sur un autre modèle plus solide, mais il était impossible pour moi de l'ouvrir à une main et ma fille de 12 ans n'y arrivait même pas à deux...Celle ci est facile et pratique. Bon achat.

I love it so much and that I bought two! I love how easy it was to install, had it installed in less than 5 minutes out of the box. The fact that I have the option to leave it open and it doesn't slam shut behind me makes my life so much easier. It's also easy to open and enclose with one hand. The feature that I really like is that it can be opened either way without flipping a switch or toggle. Highly recommend this gate for any room.

It seems like you need to break in the lock, but it's great bought a second because it works so well.Dog crawled under the gate and didn't knock it down (he didn't get stuck was just so excited to see Zack he tried to crawl back under lol)
