You end up with something like sandy water. I just dump the water in the sink and wash the mortar container (I use an old cool whip container) and the bricks and the basin. The trowels have a wooden handle so I don’t soak them. We wash them off immediately after the project is done. I bought this to finish a house which I was completing for my grandson. You mix 4 tablespoons of this stuff with 1 tablespoon of water to produce cement to stick miniature bricks together. It works very well and the package was delivered the day after I ordered it, so no complaints there.
