Great for Camping & Picnics
Perfect for camping and picnics. Solid knife with a little heft. Feels good in the hand. Easy to open, good locking action, and easy to close. Very sharp. The “friendly looking” handle is bright orange and easy to find in a backpack or on picnic blanket.Review Disclaimer: I purchased this item via Amazon at the listed price with my own money. I did not receive any discount or compensation for this review.

extremely high quality
The overall appearance of the knife is top-notch and exceeded my expectations. The handle looks and feels great, and the blade is 440 stainless steel with exceptional finish and sharpness. The locking function is tight and positive, and the blade bearings are perfect with no slop. This is a quality knife; you won't be disappointed.

Pretty nice folding slicer
Blade is aggressively tapered from the spine to the edge, a curved taper that works nicely chopping vegetables.Knife is a little bulky. Blade release actuation is a roughly shaped tab you have to hold down, unpleasant to the touch.Minimalist belt/pocket clip is very small and high on the knife, works well, knife sits deeply in the pocket .when clipped. Solid four star item. Not quite 5 anywhere. I like the knife overall for kitchen stuff.

Larger than it looks - beware! Superb in function and solid quality.
I like how it cuts and chops. Would use it for the garden, too - if I did not mind cleaning it up really well before using it in the kitchen, again. A bit too big for my pocket. It could probably fit into a 5-6" sheath with clip or leather loop, for the belt.

Safe Travels, Sturdy Easy to Clean
Very nice! Got these for my daughter who likes to Backpack and Cook. I bought the orange set as it is easy to see in low light (a Glow-In-The-Dark option would be even better!). They are very sturdy and well made, they are sharp and will be durable, I am sure. They are not of insanely hard steel, but they are serviceable for camping and will not easily rust in damp conditions as they are stainless. I have big hands and still find the handle quite comfortable but the feel of the plastic handle is not ideal. I would love a handle with a bit more of a rubbery feel that is more comfortable and "grippy", that said, this handle does not feel as though it would be slippery even if was used while wet in the rain, etc. The handle and blade are super easy to clean and each knife in this 2 knife set comes with a lovely chamois for polishing. The cutting board is fantastic and compact/useful/lightweight.A lovely set to have or to give. They are rather heavy, each knife weighs in at about 6 ounces so if you are an Ultralight Backpacker take note! Even 6 ounces is a lot to carry! That said, the locking mechanism on both knives is very nice and sturdy/safe. The paring knife has a thumb tab but only on for right handed deployment (I'm a lefty and can deploy the blade right handed, it is tricky but not impossible).Chef knife is long enough and designed well enough to be a genuine help with chopping and slicing. The Paring knife is just right for all other uses like peeling fruit and even prepping a fish in a pinch.Nice Knives! They do NOT say "Made in Japan" anywhere on them so I do suspect this is a Japanese company outsourcing the production to China or they would stamp "Made in Japan" proudly on their knives.A nice gift or treat for yourself if you Tailgate, Car Camp, Backpack, student Cook etc. I am very happy with my purchase.

Nice Chefs Knife
I needed a folding chefs knife for my camp cooking pack and after looking at different knives decided to give this one a try. Knife is nicely made, locks securely in place and folds up smoothly. Handle is very comfortable in the hand and it seems to have a good balance to it. Blade is the size and shape I was looking for and will work nicely for me when preparing meals out in the field. Fits nicely in the velcro closing belt looped case and also has a drawstring type cloth case as well for keeping knife in your pocket. All in all a very nice knife that I'm very pleased with.

Perfect knife to keep in lunch bag
I wanted a folding knife to keep in my lunch bag. It's sharp enough to cut meat with ease. Cleans up easily. I was worried it would be hard to open and close but it isn't. I like the little cloth bag to store it in so it doesn't look like I have a knife randomly thrown in my bag. Very happy with my purchase.
