Silver Creek Silver Creek Leather Kit, Mystery Braid Bracelets (CS413608),Brown

I gave this kit as a gift and it was a big hit! The quality of the leather is very nice and soft enough to be worn comfortably. From metal snap to metal snap it measures 8 1/4" with approx. 1/2" remaining past the snaps. The more braid woven in the shorter the bracelet will be so for a small wrist just weave more to tighten it up! The kit I received had medium brown colored leather, one one tan.

Most of the bracelets were great but one smelled like gasoline and another was partially broken like something had burned part of it. Those two are unusable because I purchased these to be essential oil diffuser bracelets. 6/8 is not bad but if you think about it in terms of percentage, 25% of the product I received is not usable. 😕I ordered a new pack because I wanted to make bracelets for my daughter’s teachers at her daycare and didn’t have enough of the same color from my first pack. I was pleasantly surprised by this new pack I received. This package contained so many different colors! It contained 1 cobalt blue, 1 lavender, 1 pink, 2 brown, 2 cognac and 1 gray. I was looking for a black so all of the bracelets would be the same color but I just chose a couple of the brown and added in a tan from my previous pack. Because of the variety, I will order again. I just hope I get the different colored pack again next time.

I purchased 2 packs of 8 bracelets each based on the description of containing black, tan, mahogany and brown bracelets. Of the 16 that I received I have 1 black, 2 brown, 1 mahogany. That's it! The rest are an assortment of colors - 8 of those are sparkly. All I ask is that the description match what is sent. And no....the 8 sparkly ones were not in one pack together. They were split up between the two packages. So frustrated. Buyer beware.

Great product! I received 3 black, 2 navy blue, 2 brown, and 1 gray. Watched a quick Youtube video on how to do the braid, and within 1 minute of opening the package my son and I had completed bracelets. The braid takes about 30 seconds to complete. My wrist is 7 1/2 inches and the completed bracelet is a perfect fit; it's a little big on my son's wrist so we will shrink his with a good soak and a hairdryer. I am taking the rest of the straps to our next scout meeting so my scouts can braid their own bracelet. I will also likely purchase more packs to give to friends, Bible study members (to be a visual reminder of Ecclesiastes 4:12), etc.

My daughters enjoyed making these. Directions are not 100% accurate/clear but there are plenty of YouTube videos that show step by step process. Great price and arrived on time. Big enough to fit adults but not too big for kids. Colors we received were not our favorite and not ones we would wear but fun to do as a craft. Wish there was an option to select your preferred colors so we’d wear them.

Once you figure it out you feel really smart, THEN you try it again. They turn out great and attractive. The only problem I have is that I sent for a package of different colored bracelets and when it arrived they were just one color of dark brown.

Good price. I really enjoyed demoing how to make them and handing them out at an Irish Festival, as they represent of Celtic Knotwork. The first time I tired to follow the instructions I failed. A day later with a fresh mind, and closer scrutiny of the instructions I found them to be correct, but need to be followed carefully to get it right. I wrote up the weaving steps in big print. That helped, and so did paying very close attention to which strand was A, B, or C, regardless of its current location. Also be sure to make sure all the strands are aligned straight before starting the next cycle.

I bought these as I have always wanted to try "magic" braiding, every since I managed to unravel my leather woggle at Guides!The bracelets are good quality and instructions clear but would be great if the colours were more exciting - I got mostly the same tone of medium browns.

Several colours in a pack. Braid them loose for a larger size, or tight for smaller. Wish I'd found these years ago.

These are fun... Neat idea... Fun to do... And I like the finished prodcut.
