Mili (Jaya Bhaduri) an exuberant, teenaged girl with an infectious zest for life. Shekhar (Amitabh Bachchan), a brooding recluse. Dogged by a scandal, he discouraged and shunned all contacts with people. When Shekhar moved into the terrace flat of the building where Mili stayed, the terrace became out of bounds for her end the gang of children where they had their fun and games. But Mili worked away persistently at Shekhar. The scandal did not matter to her. Her magic worked on Shekhar. Gradually he started coming out of he shell. Then fell in love. And tragedy struck again. He was prepared to run away. But love works in strange ways. He stayed back. To give something or some time to someone who gave everything. Giving is all that matters in love. There is nothing too little or too big.

Movie is excellent and quality of the DVD print is okay!!!!!!
With the classic combination of Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Amithabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Ashok Kumar, this movie is a Hindi movie DVD collectors delight.Coming to the qualityof the DVD, the print could've been a little better. Hence a 4-star review.[But since this movie is from the 70's not really sure if this point could be counted as a drawback :P ]But nevertheless a nice family drama Mili .

Sweetest film with saddest thought.
I have seen this movie at least 7times and always promise not to watch it further because it gives me unexplained loneliness at the end. This is probably due to natural acting which digs the core of my heart.
