No chatter, no burning
Used to reclaim old boards and make new door casing. Used in shaper and worked very well. Ran two passes, first approximately half depth, second full depth. Would recommend to friend.

Good to the last board
this bit is very large for a small router table. It must be used carefully. The boards must be supported on all sides to obtain an even and smooth finish. I found that three progressive passes were needed on yellow pine. Otherwise, there were a number of flaws on the wood. It was necessary to use two feather boards on the material, one on each side of the bit, to keep the material against the router fence. I used a tall feather board in order to press the material at the table surface and at the top of the material. I had to do this on both sides of the router bit in order to keep the material firmly against the fence.I also had to clamp a board firmly against the top of the material to keep it from vibrating and bouncing off the router bit. With all of this, I then was able to push the boards slowly through and get a fairly good finish. Many of boards still had irregular areas to either clean up or leave as visible flaws. Not a professional job, but it worked and saved me some money.

Accurate and reliable.
I have found that Freud bits are consistently accurate and reliable. With these bits, it is important to make sure that the board is well supported with featherboards to keep it square to the table. I used a horizontal router table and got fairly good results with a minimum of sanding.

Heavy Duty
I was really surprised and impressed by the weight of this bit. It also comes in it's own reusable packaging which is nice. Rips through material and edge appears to still be sharp, we'll see if time tells. The only thing that would be nice is if the profile was upside down, it'd put the most material against the table/fence rather than a thin strip against the table and nothing against the fence until all the way at the top of the material.

needed a little sanding but the moulding turned out as good as in the big box store
This bit could save you a ton of money. However, you need a heavy router table and lots of feather boards. I suggest a minimum of two pressing down, and one front and one in back. You also need a auxiliary board to support the height of the moulding. This is one tall bit and prone to chatter. Ran about 1800 ft., of oak, needed a little sanding but the moulding turned out as good as in the big box store. I also ran stock wider than needed and ripped it to the correct width. Seemed to support it better.

Could not get a smooth cut in hardwoods
I attempted to make some casing with my Mikita plunge router mounted in a table. I could not get rid of excessive vibration, and was not able to make a smooth cut, even removing only a sixteenth of an pinch at a pass. This may be due to the design of the router, which can only grip about a half inch or so of this very tall bit.
