Great purchase
I have been wanting an exposed shelving piece so that my dishes are not so cramp—and this shelf has made me SO happy. Sturdy and I love the color of the wood. It is a very warm and clean piece.Putting it together took under an hour which is nice. Pay attention to the directions and make sure you have everything properly faced.Another pro because we have a small child: it has parts to bolt it to the wall for safety.Great purchase. Will definitely buy again.

Works well after you figure out the legs
TLDR; TIPS:1 - Make sure to match the holes for the cross-brace for the back of the legs BEFORE you start adding the shelving.2 - Make sure the 4 brackets to join the top and bottom of each leg are on the OUTSIDES (not shelf sides), contrary to what the instructions seem to say, so that you don't see the seam where the top and bottom join.3 - Don't over-tighten the shelf bolts as the legs are about the weight of a metal bathroom étagère and will buckle if you tighten them too much.REVIEW:It's a nice-looking, mid-height and narrow bookshelf, perfect for my hallway. Think Asian Industrial, it has that feel to it, and matches two side tables I purchased for the same location: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M27XSKE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.The shelves are real wood and have a mottled oil-residue type staining on them, as if used for years and years. Quite nice if left visible, no worries if you plan to have a bunch of items on it anyway.Sturdy once assembled, looks great.

Great style and quality
I am very happy with this purchase. Like the others have mentioned, building the bookshelf is straight forward, and the final result is sturdy. I also really appreciate the detail/stain in the wood. Look no further if you're after a rustic-inspired, modern, lightweight bookshelf.

Trendy industrial bookshelf!
Wow this is the cutest little bookshelf! The shelves are a trendy barnwood look. It only took me about 30 minutes to put together. All hardware was separated and easily labeled. I left the bottom shelf off because i plan to store my surround sound speaker under there. The whole unit is very stable. Highly recommend this item!

Ok but not as good as I’d expected
This was a nightmare to put together, holes were missing (had to pound screw drivers with a hammer to make some holes the right size), and make sure that the whole for the back wires are placed on the same side, after putting everything together (which took forever) I had to undo because I put one side the wrong way. It looks ok now that it’s up, it smaller than I expected and the shelves are not as strong as I’d expected, after puttting my books on it looks like it’s already bending a bit. I still have to keep my other old book shelf which defeats the purpose of getting this one. But it’s ok I guess

Much Better Than The Price Would Suggest
When one pays bargain prices for something, they should not expect it to be the best. That said, as someone who moves frequently and finds it far better to dispose of heavy furniture (whether by selling it or trashing it) rather than moving it, I have bought a number of budget, self-assembly furniture items. I am surprised by the appearance and quality of this bookshelf. Yes, it does have a minimalist, industrial appearance, but it does not look cheap.I do want to address some of the things I read in other reviews. Either Homfa has solidly addressed those supposed issues, or those reviewers are off the wall.Packaging: It arrived in a sturdy, unblemished cardboard box. It was well packed in styrofoam and everything was separately wrapped in plastic. Each piece was marked, either on the piece or on the plastic in which it was wrapped. Each type of hardware was in a separate plastic bag, marked with the letter corresponding to the instructions.Condition: Everything was in perfect condition. No scratches, no uneven paint. The finish on the shelves was in perfect shape, as were the shelves themselves. All the drilled holes lined up perfectly and there were no burrs in the metal.Assembly: The instructions were diagrams, which clearly indicated the appropriate parts and methods of assembly. There were only two written instructions and that was all that was needed. It took me about 25 minutes to put together, taking my time. Everything fit just as it was supposed to.Sturdiness: This is not a heavy duty item. So don't plan on using it to display your anchor collection. That said, for use as a books shelf (and books are pretty heavy) or nick knacks, it is more than strong enough. The assembled unit is solid. It doesn't rock or twist. It comes with a wall anchor that I didn't use. But, if you have kids around, or are a clod, I suggest you use it. Not because the case is unsteady, but because it can be pulled over.Appearance: No one is going to mistake this for a museum piece. But, it looks very high quality and classy. The cross supports in the back do not significantly stand out and do not detract from the simple, clean appearance. If you are looking for an inexpensive but decent looking bookcase that will not have to endure very heavy items I highly recommend this book case.

looks great and perfect size
This was easy to put together - all the holes lined up, not need for adjustments, looks really nice - there were no issues with scratches, etc. and is much more sturdy than I thought it would be based on some other reviews. I think someone said this was lightweight, I don't think that at all. If you're thinking of putting large hardback books all the way across the shelves, I think they will likely sag over time, but as long as the shelves are not loaded with heavy items, I think it will be great. got it for my son's dorm room - really great height as first couple of shelves are behind the end of the bed frame and a little tight for use, so it was important to have the extra height.

Impossible to assemble. Save yourself the headache.
Do not buy these shelves. It is next to impossible to assemble. I've put together a lot of furniture much larger and note complex than this and never had this much trouble. Save yourself the headache. Unfortunately my wife bought it months ago and I'm just now trying to put it together so it's too late to return or ask for a refund.
