I bought a whole collection as Christmas presents. They almost work as described, and when they do, they're beautiful, functional, cute,, and pleasing, and will be a point of conversation. My wife just loved them! So, why the 3 stars.Well, because they don't work as smoothly as the instructions describe. Actually, if you only follow the instructions, they don't work. I strongly suggest before you pour water in the top, you have to find a way to start the assist the unfolding of the bottom, if you just pour water in, it's not enough to spread the bottom so it can stand.On one of the plastic vases I purchased, I had to roll the top closed and try to press the water inside enough to get the bottom to open and therefore stand by itself. Maybe starting with warmish water would help.My wife loved these after I fiddled with them a while! Really good product, just needs some additional engineering.

This is the most innovative idea for a vase I’ve ever seen. First the colors and variety of designs are great! Once filled with water the vases are very sturdy and natural looking. We bought one for ourselves and one as a gift for a friend. The friend was so surprised and happy with this unique gift. All in all this is a great faux vase at a good price.

Use this and matching floating candles for camping. Love them for picnic table. They store away and travel in the RV easy.
