What a great thermometer! I don't have to open the oven door and lose heat, just set it and forget it. You set the alarm to the temperature you want your meat and it will alert you. Have used it many times already and husband and I are both thrilled. Everyone may be getting one of these for Christmas.

I fry and smoke a few dozen turkeys every Thanksgiving. Boy, did this thermometer come in handy. I had the thermometer in the breast of my turkey while smoking it and gave me on the spot temperatures.. it came out just perfect. The temperature was accurate and it saved time cause it wouldn’t seat there over cooked. When I would deep fry a turkey, I would insert the thermometer in the breast and thighs and it would give me accurate temperatures. Once the turkey would hit 155 degrees I pulled the turkey out of the fryer and the turkeys all came out juicy and succulent. Great product!

This was a great probe that was simple to use... In the oven only. One use on the grill and the probe over heated and burned out. No good now and I can't see a replacement probe for sale.

It is hard to change from one meat to the next and hard to read but works perfectly

I tried this and sent it back for a refund. The pictures shown are misleading, because you only see that bright display for a few seconds after you enter your setting and then the screen goes dark, which makes it hard to see how close it is to being done so you can coordinate the rest of the meal with when the meat will be done. I also didn't like how hard it was to use when I wanted to put in a setting other than the preset ones. I like my beef at 140 degrees, not 145 (the preset), and it was just too hard to set a different temperature. It can be done, but when I touched the screen to get it to light up so I could see what temperature the meat had reached, I lost the setting I had put in. I also found it hard to use any of the presets and the directions were not particularly helpful. I am going back to my Polder. My last one worked for 4 years before the probe malfunctioned, and I find it more user-friendly than this one is. There are others like it under different names and I would probably not like them, either.

Love how long the cord is. The magnets are a plus so it stays on the table. I've done a few roast during it on my charcoal grill has is to easy.

Interface design is frustrating. Can't turn on backlight without changing temp setting, can't turn off alarm without turning off unit or setting a high target temperature. Build quality of probe is okay, but cable is relatively short. LCD is hard to read from some angles.

I have to say I used this product for the first time last night. I absolutely loved it! So simple to use and accurate as can be my roast was cooked a perfect temperature! Highly recommend product!
