Killer head set for work, beyond gaming
We aren't really supposed to use gaming headsets for work. We have a list of expensive, top-of-the line headsets that we are supposed to use. However, when my last TOTL, expensive headset died horribly during my shift, I needed a new one fast. (Ok, so when the TOTL headset died, it probably actually commited suicide due to hard use and abuse, but that's another story). So my first Klim died. I am not sure why. I use it constantly. And my dog tangles the cord and yanks it out sometimes, so probably user misuse. Who knows.I plugged in an old TOTL and my customers couldn't hear me. I reordered the KLIM, issue solved. So, sticking with this brand forever.I never heard of this brand, I only knew that Amazon would deliver it quickly so I wouldn't lose paid time.I opened the box, and was sceptical. It has blue lights. I guess gamers can't find their headsets in the clutter of their basements. Wait, I'm a gamer and I don't even have a basement. I own my house, but that's another story.Anyway, the headphones were big, heavy and shiny. Not the call center look my boss imagines I have. I wasn't sure about the cushiony band that fits tight on the head. Would my hair fall out or my head get a groove?I put them on. They really are worthy of a fighter pilot or a starship communications officer. Darth Vader might own this headset. But here's the thing. They work their cushiony earpads off. They are awesome. There's no echo, not a bit. My customers can hear me, every time. The control buttons for mute and volume are on the cord and are big enough that I can see them and find them in a hurry. My TOTL headsets have been MANY, and none of them have had usable controls. Eventually, on the dainty, hidden, designed for a woman controls, I find and am able to use the mute button because it's critical. Wait, I am a woman. It just never occurred to me that my headset didn't have to be fragile and have tiny controls. I've been annoyed at the controls but never thought of anything better.Noise canceling features are terrific, earpads are comfortable, Everything works.I love this headset. I haven't had it long enough to speak about durability, but it's not expensive and works better than any of my more expensive headsets.Oh, eventually, when I get back off these stupid 14 hour a day shifts, I'll use it for gaming.

HD Audio w/ 7.1 Surround Sound, Noise Isolation and Strong Bass
Audio Quality:The KLIM Impact V2 Headset audio quality genuinely surprised me. The High Definition Audio with 7.1 Surround Sound and Noise Isolation is a truly immersive experience. Coupling this with the KLIM Impact Driver allows the user to customize four different profiles with settings for EQ, Impulse Convolution Effects, Mic Gain, and of course the Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound. The convolution effects are quite interesting to play with. Enjoy singing in the shower? Now you can experience the same audio effects while at the comfort of your gaming station.Volume:These headphones have an incredible amount of gain on them. The amplifier inside of these is doing its job, so you certainly won't have any issues hearing communication over them. That being said, turn down the volume a bit before you test these out. Do it for your eardrums.Noise Isolation:An important note I want to make is that Noise Cancellation requires an active filtration of the environment, whereas Noise Isolation simply muffles this noise. This headset does a very good job at isolating noise. Factor in the gain on these, and you can easily drown out any unwanted sounds.Microphone:Like the headphones, the detachable microphone on the KLIM Impact V2 has an incredible amount of default gain. Initially, when loading into Discord, my team members could hear every sound around me. Make sure to use the Mic Settings in the Impact Driver to tune your gain as desired. In the past I have had issues with removable microphones, so I like that fact that this has a lock on it, and as long as you keep it in place, the quality is better than other removable aux mics I've used.Build and Feel:This headset feels nice and durable, it was clearly made with quality products. I prefer the dark matte finish on the exterior and the suspension headband assures a good fit. That being said, KLIM does specify that this headset was designed to be a bit snugger on the head. For me, the clamping force pressure point of these rest just below the ears. I'd like to comment on how cool these stay for extended periods of wear. The longest I have worn them directly over my ears is about 45 minutes, and they stayed decently cool. The rest of the time, I wear these with a hood on, because I am used to doing it with past headsets and I find it comfortable. My ears don't get hot, and I find that this mitigates any pressure applied by clamping force. This headset also comes with hand-help controls that are convenient for volume adjustment and toggling mute for the mic.Service:KLIM has incredible customer service, and you can tell that they really care that you enjoy their product. The packaging came with a nice envelope and letter that proved for an entertaining and enjoyable read.

Good quality medium tier headphones for the price.
I have been using this headset for a little over a month. The headset seems to be made of good quality and does what it is meant to do. I have others told me that my voice sounds a lot better with the microphone on this headset.Pros:- Passive noise isolationActually works compared to my old headset. Noticable reduction in ambient noise and voice volume of others. Have to actually take my headset off to hear others clearly.- Quality sound and microphoneThe sound quality on this headset is great. Excellent for gaming and decent for listening to music. Audio volume is loud. On my old headset I had to turn it to 50% whereas on the Klim headset I would use 34% max.Cons:- Runs a little hotHeadset runs hot at times especially during long sessions. Of course this varies per individual depending on their perspiration rate and can be avoided by taking breaks between shorter sessions. Running hot is in part due to the excellent noise isolation capability on this head, designed to trap sound and heat at the same time.- Control buttonsThe tangible control buttons are in theory a good added feature but in practise this particular design is flawed. The control module is rather big and buttons are not recessed, making it very easy for you to accidentally bump into them and mute yourself without knowing. The LED light on the buttons are also faint making it harder to know that you have accidentally muted yourself, and there are no LED light on the mic which could have been added to address this problem. For this flaw, I have deducted a star. But otherwise, this is a nice headset for the price. If improvements can be made to the control module, this headset can compete against the biggest brands in terms of price, quality and comfort.
