Illustory Create Your Own Book

My granddaughter loves to write stories and draw. She has already completed the book and she promised to order enough copies to give her grandmothers a copy.

I bought this for my 9 year old son who loves to read and write. It came with the option to mail-in or do it online. The online version gives you many more options (text size, text amount, text layout...) However, we ran into the website erasing words when we went to edit pages. We received the finished product a bit earlier than expected but the pages were falling out and one page was put in backward. When I wrote to explain the product we received was less than adequate, I got no reply at all. I ended up taking it apart myself and putting it back together correctly and trying to clamp the pages together (not well but I got the job done). The website for getting help is less than helpful with many links saying "page cannot be found!" It was a bit of a hassle but my son is happy. I just wish they would put more work into the Creations By You storybook website.

I have told all my Grandmother friends what a great gift that keeps on giving this is. My grandsons are grown but each time I come upon their books it brings back wonderful memories.😢I was a little upset my friend has two beautiful grandchildren and there was only one listed that I could order for her birthday. Why was that? Do you not keep several on hand. But since they are 5 it should turn into a joint adventure.

You will either never hear back or they will return what you sent them.WHY are these kits still being sold without this disclaimer.DO NOT BUY unless you want some book pages that can never be made into a book!!!!!!!!!!

We have a little writer in the family that absolutely LOVED this activity. Not only does she love writing, but this taught her how to put the whole thing together with pictures to represent the words and parameters on how many words could be on the page. You would thing the word number would be a bad thing, but it actually made her story more concise and gave her some boundaries. We have already ordered another one and I'm sure she'll want to keep going.For me? This is a lovely gift for a parent to have from their child. Ths is a keepsake that will last a lifetime and it BETTER because it costs so much!! Not necessarily the kit itself, but the price of binding, shipping, retyping, extras. On top of that, it take 6-8 weeks to get the finished product.. they don't tell you anything about that when you buy it! Again, I'm glad we did because she loves it, but I'm going to have to space out how many she gets so that I can afford it!

Purchased as a gift...nice craft kit for my granddaughter. Packaging okay -- though inside package a bit rumpled (it was a "used" kit).

I cannot rate the finished product. I mailed the story and illustrations completed by my grandson. He was really looking forward to having a book that HE wrote. The concept is good, but make a copy of the finished product and send it with tracking. I didn't do either of these and ended up without a book. I looked up the email and telephone number online. The emails remain unanswered. The telephone calls need a number prior to being answered. Because he wants it so much, I will purchase another and take my own advice and hope it turns out as promised.
