I can't stand having flying bugs in the house. House flies, fruit flies, mosquitoes. This is the best method I have found to kill them all. Recently moved into a new apartment that's near a wetland. The place was full of mosquitoes when we moved in. I left this thing plugged in on the counter, with the purple light on overnight, and by morning it had killed 12 mosquitoes! This thing is such a step up from nasty, sticky fly ribbons and ineffective traps. It does make a pretty loud snapping sound everytime it kills a bug, shich can either be startling or satisfying, depending on how prepared you were for it.

I love using this bug zapper! The tennis racquet design makes it super easy to hold & swing. My husband was a professional tennis player decades ago & he gets a bit of joy swinging a backhand with it. A couple minor annoyances are the fact that it doesn’t lie flush to the window or wall making it difficult at times to instantly kill the bug. It would be beneficial to have the ultra violet light throughout the entire racquet instead of just at the bottom. Other than those 2 minor issues it’s a hit with our household!

Althought this product works great, the battery life sucks! It says it charges for 10 hour use, but the battery light comes on after 30 mins. I would spend a little more money for a longer battery life. It does get the bugs, but having to charge it every night for an hour of use is ridiculous!

I swat at the bugs and oftentimes it does nothing. Sometimes it will pop when I set it down. It's a more stable base then other stand up racquets in the cup like holder I tried, and I like the compact slide down feature. I like the idea of it, but not super useful at attracting or capturing them.

The stand feature never attracted and killed anything. We had fruit flies and it didn’t get any of them. I think the gaps were too large to catch them between the metal. It also didn’t kill any mosquitoes either, despite definitely striking them with it. Maybe it works, but we didn’t get any use of it. I like that it’s rechargeable, but the battery powered ones have worked much better for us.
