SharkBite Pipe Cutter Tool, Cuts 1/4 to 1 Inch Pipe, Orange Handles, Plumbing Fittings, PEX, PE-RT, U701

We dug trenches and placed the pex lines before cutting, so we were cutting the lines inside the trenches. We started without a cutter, so we were using a hack saw, which is a real pain to use in the trench. I finally ordered this and it is great. cuts quickly, with little effort.

Cut the pipe very nicely and easily. Not damage or burrs on the pipe making it easy to slip it into a shark bite fitting.

They Work GREAT!!!

I used these for half-inch pex pipe, my first time ever trying any plumbing repair. Replaced a deteriorating valve with a new ball valve. The repair went just fine, The cutter cuts easily through the pipe, but I like others had trouble cutting the pipe at a perfect perpendicular angle. I had to cut it two or three times before I was happy. Luckily there was a little excess pipe to play with. I still didn't get it exactly right, but the pex pipe is not leaking and so I've got very little to complain about.

Great item and very easy to use. I prefer these to the ratchet type for smaller spaces.

I like the Sharkbite PEX tubing cutter. Actually, I use it to cut rubber hose, fuel line, weed trimmer string and all sorts of items which will fit inside the cutting area. It cuts clean and it cuts square. The hand grip fits the hand well and it doesn't take unreasonable force to cut the PEX. You can cut PEX with other tools just as you can use the PEX cutter to cut other materials and items. You need a nice square cut on your PEX to properly use Sharkbite Fittings. If you pay attention, this PEX tubing cutter will cut the PEX and a number of other things. It's a handy tool, just be smart with it. If you cut items which dull the blade, its not going to cut the PEX as easily as it should, so take care of your cutting tool.

Works great on pex and pvc pipe. Got it to replace an uponor pex cutter that was more expensive to replace.

I haven't had to use this tool much and the first couple cuts were great but after those, every cut is not straight at all. Not crooked enough to be a concern but definitely not straight. As I'm cutting 3/4" PEX, the blade is clearly bending out of alignment to where it doesn't line up with the slot on the opposing side. I expected better being that these are from Sharkbite but I guess the price was too good to be true.

Awesome tool

The Shark Bite pipe cutter works perfectly fine, very sharp for a quick snap of a pipe I had to buy another one for my friend. It's now an important addition to my plumbing tools.

Might seem expensive but cuts easy and square

Not a good cutter. I used it to cut 16mm Pex pipe. The blade went dull quickly. The plastic handles flex to much, making it difficult to cut all the way through. It worked well on soft hose. I will not recomend this cutter if you are a tradesman like me.
