Good Value Action Cam
I was looking for a small video and still camera with remote control for use as an experimental survey camera. The idea is to mount the camera on the end of a long pole to take video and photos of high-level roof features from ground level. This camera has far exceeded my expectations given the budget price. The video quality is quite acceptable. The still photos are not the best quality but clear enough in good light.Barrel distortion is apparent in images but this is to be expected with a wide angle lens, particularly at this price point. The device has a colour touch control rear screen and a front status panel. The camera settings are more comprehensive that I expected. The camera box stated that micro SD cards up to 32GB can be used but I’m using a 64GB card without issue. The many included accessories to mount the camera are very comprehensive and include a waterproof housing that I’ve not tried. The rechargeable battery life seems quite adequate so far. The written instructions could be clearer, though. The camera can be triggered remotely by the included remote or via an Android App (via WiFi). The App is functional but not great. The “live view” refresh over WiFi is slow. In practice, the separate remote is much simpler to use.The only slight disappointment is the lack of a macro or close focusing mode, but given the price this is a minor gripe.Overall – highly recommended.

No tripod fitting lug on camera!
7 stars out of 10I am reviewing the Teberboom S4r sports DV camera 4K sports Action Camera. This arrived in the normal amazon cardboard envelope C4 size, this type of envelope is no suitable for the product which was crushed at the bottom, luckily nothing was damaged apart from the internal box and internal plastic. The box is as per Amazon picture, the key thing to not that the Box has three QR codes printed, you will need this to download the ap for either Android or IOS if you intend to control from the computer, Inside the box is a PTE sleeve containing camera and waterproof case, remote and mounts, its flimsy and will not survive long so you will need a box or bag to keep the bits. The mountsTwo small straps approx. 34cm, assume one for the remote, two small Velcro straps aprox 20cm full length (so you will get less than that).Clamp to clamp the camera on a pole or such like. (pole Mount)Right angle clamp which slots into a base plate. (mount 3)Two base plates both fitted with double sided tape 1 has standard tripod mount thread (hole). (chip 1)Two spare double sided tape for the plates aboveSmall upright mount with tripod thread (hole) (Mount 2)Small upright mount with tripod thread (Screw) (Mount 5)One steel cable with hoop each end approx. 17cm + 4 cable tiesMedium size clamp and slightly bigger one which will thread into above upright clamps. (mount 4&6)Shoe clamp for Waterproof box Came fitted to the boxFinally, A square plastic fitting which the camera slots into to enable it to be attached to the above (Chip 2), my view is that this will break if stretched when fitting, you need this as the camera does not have a normal tripod mount thread (Hole). This to me is the biggest negative of the camera (removed 2 stars). The problem is if you fit this bracket whilst you have access to button via cut outs you will not have access to the battery tray, and will be unable to change the battery. Another star removed.Came with battery (already in camera and charged), charger for up to two batteries and usb c lead. The waterproof box.A solid construction out of clear plastic, buttons top and side to align with the camera buttons, these go through rubber washers and have a return spring. The back is closed by a plastic clamp attached to a metal ring to make the locking action. The ring is attached to the locking handle by a small plate and single screw and feels solid, the other end of the ring goes into two plastic raised lugs, the metal does not go far into these and is likely to be a weak point. On the unit I received the back is hard to close as the waterproof seal is tight, so when you push the locking clamp down it catches on the two top buttons. In fact the seal is so tight I noted it deformed in one corner.I did not buy this camera for the waterproof case so this will not affect me, the lack of the tripod threaded hole is the biggest issue to me and makes all the clamps provided useless. The remote controlA solid button which can be attached to the strap and placed around your wrist so if your into sports you can have the camera controlled from your wrist, two button red for single shot camera and grey for video recording on or off. 4 * 4.75*1cm in dimensions. I am told it works on 2.4ghz and whilst it is not designed for long range I tried it at 10 meters next to my 2.4g router and it worked fine, also it worked my Chortle camera as well. You will need a Philipps screwdriver to change the batteries ( CR2302)Supplied. My only negative on this unit and it is really minor, both LEDs are the same colour, would have been nice to have the video a different colour as I am going to be using this when it might not be good daylight. The CameraFirst impression are that it is solid, buttons are a decent size and have a positive feel, the whole back is a glass display which is touch sensitive. The front lens is slightly lower than the plastic surround so will not be scratched if laid face down, there is also a small display which has a clock the battery level, it has a small display of camera and video but these were always on and a picture of the SD card presumably to tell me it has one, when recording the clock changes to the record time per segment which I believe is 15 mins on the setting I had. Very nice to have the display, but too small to be of any practical use unless made worse by the fact it has no back lighting, if it is pointing at you with a few meters it might have some use. display is 1.5*2 cm.The Back display on the other hand is 4*3cm and in colour right out of the box the display was bright and clear (I wear glasses and so am fussy about this). The display is used for the menu and when in operating mode displays the picture being seen/recorded, allows the mic to be muted, displays date and time and the setting you have. The battery meter is very clear with three bars at full. When switched on it displays welcome and there is a small jingle, when switching off it displays Goodbye and another jingle. Actually well thought out you know it has switched on or off, there is also two small LED red for charging and blue for on.The touch sensitive screen is a dream to use but if you had big chunky figures (was the PC TO SAY?) then you may have difficulty. You can set the SSID it transmits and the password, which I then used on my Iphone (android as well), just download the app using the QR Code on the box. Allows you to control the camera for video/photo and I think you can save the file on the phone, though I had difficulty for some reason. The battery compartment is at the bottom and has a snug fit, but here lies the biggest issue, as the battery is at the bottom there is no tripod thread, the camera for mounting is therefore useless unless in the waterproof box or you use the square mount that surrounds the camera, thereby making it impossible to change the battery.Microphone,Recorded sound is muffled (when not in the waterproof case), in fact I would go as far as to say the unit I have may even be faulty. There is no alternative microphone jack, if you need this or the sound is really important this camera is not for you.Picture QualityI was impressed (indeed the reason I am not sending the unit back, which I came very close to doing),I set it to the 1080*720 at 12 m as I want to record good quality and over a long time, the AVI file produced was loaded onto my PC and the quality was great, the other unit I have always looks like there is a grain (or rain effect) at this setting), this camera was great. I have not tested the anti-shake but will try this soon.Overall, if you want a waterproof camera and are not bothered by poor quality sound it is a good choice for the price. Plenty of mounts supplied. If you do not want to use this with the waterproof case or want a small footprint camera, by another camera as mounting is going to be a pain, plus sound is poor with no external mic input.

Arrived in poor condition.. like a USED return !
This camera arrived dirty and scratched with one 900mAh battery that had a damaged terminal so couldn't be used. Owning several of these type of cameras I installed a good battery and the camera was very good to use but I noticed it did not have its default settings.. and had been set up as a dashcam. So from the dirty fingermarks and scratches UNDER the protective cover and the changed settings and damaged battery suspect this was a RETURN that I'd been sent..!4 messages to the seller with photos received slow blank replies (!)Had to call Amazon in the end..!Not a happy experience as this was bought as a gift and had to be returned. The camera has good functions and in good condition would have been great. The seller.. doesn't function much at all !Unfortunately I only photographed the damaged battery and scratched waterproof case. The latter being clear plastic doesn't photograph well so the scratches are hard to see but are very evident on the item when it's in front of you. I wish I'd photographed the dirty and finger-marked camera too. The marks were under the protective covers on both the lens and the screen.. showing signs of previous use.

good work,thanks
I have used this S4R camera a few times now and have found it to be an amazing little toy! I don't generally use it on the 4k at 30 FPS, opting for the lower resolution at HD and 60 FPS. The image is faultless and vivid, the stabalisation works and the recording volume is easily up to the job.

Good value camera, well packaged.
Camera and accessories received promptly and on time. Well packaged and appears well constructed. Operating instructions are straight forward and picture quality good, especially considering price.
